What in the pickmeeee??? Marriage is such a sunk cost for so many women. I understand it takes, on average, 7 tries to leave an abuser and I feel like a lot of these narratives are actually describing psychological, emotional, and financial abuse at the hands of the cheating/infidelity abusive husbands. There was a post on relationship advice about a woman who divorced her husband because he cheated on ehr. And had a second marriage and divorced that guy too. And the first husband and her became good friends to coparent the kids. And recently he had been very ncie to ehr, told her he wants her back, sexed her up good nd how hapoy and elated she is and the kids are happy he is moving back in.

Sis, this world really caters to men... And they really know how to play with our feelings.

These are INSANE!!! Holy shit. These poor women. At the same time though it sounds like the red flags were there...im sure these guys were great at hiding a lot of themselves, but you see more than 1 of these woman said they're happier than when they were with him, they found a man who treats them better than they ever imagined. Scum of the fucking earth these guys.

The one who disappeared for a year reminded me of an old coworker, her husband ghosted eveyone he knew for a few months, after telling only half the truth of his cheating, then serving her w/ divorce papers. Unfortunately unlike these women she took his lying, cheating ass back some time later. I think she was too afraid to start over because of her age and wanting kids. 2 years later she's still not pregnant, so what was even the point.

Reading this was sad because of the harm these men did to these women, but at the same time hopeful, because these women said (or eventually said) no to being disrespected, picked themselves up, and went on to have better lives than ever.

I never thought my ex would try to get back with me after he left just because of the lovey dovey way he acted with her for a while. Until one day he "jOkIngly" say "wanna give me a blow job? Hihihi" to which I told him to fk off and ask his gf. And every time he was drunk he'd come begging to take him back. People say when you're drunk is when you're most honest. I just think it made him lie worse. I'd tell him not a fat chance in hell. I already made that mistake once after he cheated on me with our next door neighbors wife because he "thought I.had cheated on him".

I went back and forth for ten years with an abusive alcoholic (literally my entire twenties). It’s been 4 years since the divorce and these have been the best 4 years of my life. It’s okay that I’m a single mom. I’m no longer getting abused. He asks for me back every three months like clockwork.

The fourth one made me a bit dizzy...so SHE flew out to see him to talk over the mistakes/problems HE did? Nah, that is pretty terrible for someone to leave you to sleep with other people and then you would have to fly out to "fix things"?

If someone cheats on you and it's a deal breaker then leave them. Like there are people out there who will value not cheating in a relationship to be with you. I also didn't like the stories of the women "fixing up the man" so his confidence is improved to the point he thinks he can "do better". Never settle, and most definitely never be a fixer.
