In my experience the attractive feminist women are actually very likely to prefer traditionally masculine men, even though they will give a lot of lip service to the idea of "many types of masculinity." When they're doing the lip service, they're speaking in the abstract, about what some woman somewhere may possibly like. They aren't actually speaking about their own preferences.

I think this is more common than RP says. I know a lot of chicks who go for the shy, bashful guy. He has to be fairly tall, f handsome and not fat tho.

Ive also noticed these virgin eater chicks tend to have high n counts though. kind of intellectual sluts with "nerdy" interests/hobbies without being overly bright.

Shy guys can do fine as long as they are attractive.

No women like a man that can be described as weak. They can be weak relative to an athlete or extroverted entertainment personality, but if they are weak compared to most people they won't do very well.

probably pretty common, and i'd guess that often, the women are also at least somewhat timid or shy (which may also explain why they aren't coming forward and making loud announcements about themselves, that or respect for the guy they like, or just not being weird). let's look outside of the nightclubs and bars that TRPers frequent and not forget that there are shy women in the world too, who may find RP's Dream Alpha ^TM abrasive, overwhelming, and/or tiring.

personally, i think shy guys can be cute. i don't particularly like aggressive men, so this would be closer to the personality type that would interest me.

edit: and i'm not talking extremes here; obviously, if we are talking extreme levels of shyness and frailty, that probably is much less common, though that should be obvious if we're talking extremes already...

I can think of a few examples but in general I'd say it's not very common at all. Even those who like 'beta' or less masculine men would be put off by someone who could be classified as 'weak'.

Weakness, extreme shyness and/or introversion aren't very attractive qualities in anyone, even women, unless you're a guy fantasizes about MPDGs.

I don't think very many women are attracted to weakness or shyness as a trait, but a higher percentage of them can still be attracted to a guy who's weak/awkward if she likes his other traits. I mean, there are weak/shy men who end up in relationships, and I don't think we can dismiss that with some assumption that all of the women are just pretending to be attracted to them (even if I think it's true that most probably don't prefer that one particular trait). It's similar to how I don't find short hair to be attractive, but it's possible for me to be attracted to someone who has short hair (if their other traits are enough to overcome the handicap of short hair).

The problem with questions like this one is the abstraction issue. Men, are much more adept at compartmentalizing their attraction to features, such as the big ass, the big chest, the big lips etc.

With women, it's about the complete package. Most of the time, when they say they like a trait that you would think is a negative, its because that particular guy they knew with this trait, had many other things making up for it.

For example, one of my friends, a guy from the Netherlands getting his PhD in Computer Science, does extremely well with women, despite being very skinny for his height. Why? First, he has a really deep voice (baritone-tenor range), and one of his hobbies is opera singing, he has an amazing voice, like Andrea Bocelli. To top if off, he has very sharp, blue eyes.

I don't know how common it is but I find short, shy whatever men to be cute. There's actually a guy at work that I have a bit of a crush on right now like that---the problem with shy dudes is that they're less likely to make the first move and women are also not so likely to make the first move. (I do think girls should be more encouraged to ask guys out more.)

I'm a shy guy and I've never had much trouble getting girls even when I was a super awkward borderline autistic at times teenager. I didn't do as well for ONS as my more extroverted friends, of course, but for relationships I was fine and I did get a few girls hitting on me for ONS while I was at uni too.

But of course TRPers will say "you probably look like a more jacked Brad Pitt and you're an outliner" (not true at all) so whatever.

I would say that the number is small enough that this market is utterly saturated and by being strong you stand out enough to dramatically increase your chances. When that changes this number will become important, until then it's just important for wwwk men who don't want to change. Then it will matter if this behavior attracts masculine or feminine and unattractive or hot women.

The shy attractive guy with puppy eyes gets mentioned again and again as a typical guy women are crushing on. Especially the "weak" behavioral types can be seen as very cute if they are good looking.

Working from there the weak physical parts surely are not that bad if you are good looking...

I myself am a fairly pronounced introvert, and spending time around guys who are very outgoing and brash is quite exhausting for me. I've always dated men who are on the quiet side; I've found that I can form a much stronger emotional and intellectual bond with men like this who are comfortable with spending nights at home reading together or having quality conversations. It's a compatibility thing for me. I also appreciate being able to go on adventures together, but that doesn't preclude being shy, nerdy, or socially awkward like myself. The majority of my female friends are also introverts, so by correlation they also tend to prefer introverted men, though this is not universal.

As far as physical weakness goes- I'm active, and prefer my man also be active as well. My SO walks to work every day and has an active job, but he's by no means muscular. And that's okay with me. I like a little softness, and my two best friends report and exhibit the same. As for extroverted women, I am not qualified to answer.

Nowadays as an adult I don't really have crushes at all but I would want someone I could relate to

Weak, helpless, juvenile behavior in males is unattractive. It activates the maternal instinct, which is the antithesis of lust.

However, I'd personally love to date a socially anxious introvert like myself. The last guy I had a huge crush on was socially awkward, but he was super hot and worked the "strong and silent" angle.

I'm pretty shy and I'd say, in my experience, it is very unattractive to women. I have a low count in terms of sexual partners and relationships so it is logical to assume that women don't find it attractive (although it could be my face as well I guess). The only time I notice female attention is when I take my top off in the summer / on holiday. :/

Do you mean weak as struggling to make it through the day kind of weak? Or do you mean what I consider normal: average guy who probably has a desk job and isn't a gym rat? As a woman I'd say it's fine if he's not an athlete. But I'd be concerned if he was so weak he struggled to get off the couch because all he does is lay around watching tv.

Are woman are attracted to introverts? Depends on the woman. I'm an introvert. I'd rather be with another introvert so I'm not being pressured to go to parties all the time. Some women are more extroverted and they'd probably want their guy to often go with them when they go socializing.

I'm not sure shy and introvert are interchangeable. Shy may be from social anxiety. I'd rather my date not have little anxiety attacks if we must go to a social event. It's not someone's fault they feel anxiety over social interactions, but it is in their power to get treatment.

Maybe not "weak" guys but shy guys are fine as long as they aren't socially retarded. And now that you can bump into all kinds of people online it's easier than ever for shy guys to meet partners.

I'm shy(ish) and I fully understand and agree with TRP but I do not want to change myself and fake being some kind of big-shot alpha to attract bimbos. I think it's better when my partners like me for me and we have something meaningful. I don't understand why anybody would be happy or comfortable living a lie just to get sex with the annoying/stupid females... That being said, I would use elements of TRP in future with someone that I really liked to make the relationship more exciting and stop it from failing.

Weak is pretty unattractive by definition. However, shy and weak is not the same thing.

Though all things being equal I tend to prefer more assertive and confident men, sometimes shyness can be endearing and attractive if the guy is really good looking.

Current SO is only an inch taller than me, pretty average strength-wise, and didn't even try to make friends until he graduated college so...I guess this actually might be my type.

The problem is that you're looking for women who consider these reasons alone to pursue a guy, rather than slight points in his favor (it happens) or no opinion either way (way more common).

A guy who's shy, and socially awkward (hi!), is more likely to be considered attractive, if he fights against these things. It's showing her both courage and honesty, and those are traits attractive in almost anyone.

Plus, some women really do enjoy inspiring the best in others.

It's also a plus if she's looking for someone who won't pressure her, or if she feels a connection...

If you're talking about how many women genuinely prefer men who are less masculine...I don't know. How do you tell a woman who wants to collect as much variety as possible, from one who knows what an Uke is, and can't wait to play disturbing forms of dress up with you?
