some people need to get a life.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

ahem ahem

[–]GynaTynglezMakelovenotwar8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Care to elaborate? Why are people so obsessed with being mean? Live and let live.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

fat people are mean too

[–][deleted] 9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What?

So since there are some mean fat people we should go out of our way to let all fat people know that they're ugly?

[–]MrFuckupKing 13 points13 points13 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Cruelty is self serving (selfish) often packaged as being humanitarian to give cowards the freedom to be bullies.

Bullies are child like. They must have the world be the way they need it to be because as children they cannot tolerate it any other way.

Children throw temper tantrums when they do not get their way.

Children want everything to be pretty and are disgusted when it is not. Their minds are weak and they stay weak by insisting the world changes for them.

[–]disposable_pants7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Cruelty is self serving (selfish) often packaged as being humanitarian to give cowards the freedom to be bullies.

/r/thebluepill in a nutshell.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

so true

[–]Bekazzled6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Really? Because right below this comment is support for this type of bullying from someone who is apparently Redder than Stalin.

[–]disposable_pants1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Irrelevant. Two wrongs don't make a right.

[–]Bekazzled0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's how you read what I was saying?

I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

[–]Apexk922 points23 points24 points 10 years ago (55 children) | Copy Link

You have to be pretty pathetic to go out of your way to tell a fat bitch something she already knows.

[–]RareBlur6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You have to be pretty pathetic to get your jollies making fun of other people. Who cares? Why is it any of the card givers business?

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (53 children) | Copy Link

you would be surprised at the number of people who dont consider themselves as obese or overweight, but consider themselves as 'just not skinny' with a little extra. people be deluded

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees16 points17 points18 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Fat people know they are fat they just don't want to constantly discuss and be reminded of it. The world isn't extreme tumblrinas.

[–]Apexk910 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (50 children) | Copy Link

No they know.

They may pretend like they don't or try and hamster some excuses but they see it when they look at the mirror.

[–]pakleader 6 points6 points6 points 10 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

Quick google search:

  • 20% of obese people in Britain believe they are healthy weight. 10-15% in other European countries http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-3078393/Britain-fat-deluded-man-Europe-fifth-people-wrongly-believe-healthy-weight-obese-normal.html

  • Obesity may be normalized as healthy in AMerica http://healthland.time.com/2010/10/19/study-many-obese-people-think-they-look-great-the-way-they-are/

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They believe, or they rationalise?

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (47 children) | Copy Link

The average weight is overweight and people of a healthy weight are labelled anorexic. Being fat is already normalised in Western society. It's not as simplistic as you'd like to believe.

[–]Apexk90 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (46 children) | Copy Link

Yeah but when people look in the mirror they know they are fat.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (45 children) | Copy Link

Sadly being overweight is so common these days people don't even realise they're fat until they're full on obese and are already having health problems.

Also, knowing you have a problem and actually fixing that problem are worlds apart.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (44 children) | Copy Link

Did you know you were fat when you looked in the mirror?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (43 children) | Copy Link

Actually no. I didn't really accept I was overweight until people told me. That's why I'm not against "fat shaming."

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (42 children) | Copy Link

So you weighed 15 stone and didn't notice that you couldn't buy clothes at regular shops or fit on bus seats?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (41 children) | Copy Link

Thing is there's a difference between being overweight and obese. You definitely know when you're obese, but simply being over a healthy weight is so common yeah you don't really notice unless you actually look up what a healthy weight is meant to be. That's the problem I'm drawing attention to.

So I'm glad I was able to lose weight before it got to the stage where I was obese, and now I'm at a healthy weight I'm a lot happier. It helps you in a lot of different ways and everyone should be expected to keep at a healthy weight.

We have adverts all over TV imploring people to quit smoking because we know it kills you, yet if you point out being fat is bad apparently that's a big taboo? Bullshit. That attitude is enabling the obesity crisis.

[–]Ultrablue19732 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So, I know some fat people who genuinely have severe medical problems that do make them fat. For one it is a choice as stark as "go off the steroids that make you blimp out and you will die."

Do most people have those reasons? Probably not. But I don't know so have no business pointing it out.

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't care for the fat acceptance movement, but going out of your way to point out that women are fat (and by extension, ugly) and shame then reeks of asshole, and those people know it.

[–]disposable_pants5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

My question is whether this group -- which describes itself as against fat people, not fat women -- is handing these cards out to men, too. I suspect they are (this isn't a comprehensively researched article; its sources are Twitter), which would raise the question of why women are singled out by the writer.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

which would raise the question of why women are singled out by the writer.

Because who cares about fat men being hurt?

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Or because fat men weren't targeted.

[–]Gnometard1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Or fat men don't give a shit about what a stranger said.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ask 5th law. He seems to.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (27 children) | Copy Link

Women often publicly make comments about men (for example, calling them a creep for doing something that, if they were a billionaire, would suddenly be acceptable behaviour).

Isn't this equality?

[–]treebogSJW Thought Policeman7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (17 children) | Copy Link

Because in MGTOWland, women walk up to random guys and call them creeps.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that they exhibit creepy behavior.

[–]lolobviouslyRed Pill7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

And the women in the OP didnt exhibit fat person behavior?

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

She's saying a guy is called a creepy when he interacts with the women. As in trying to ask her out in an unsuitable place or approaching women way out of his league. Not saying its deserved for these guys to be called creeps but women don't go around handing creep cards to random dudes just standing around.

[–]lolobviouslyRed Pill8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Lots of people, including women, do all sorts of horrible antisocial things to people who are on the bottom of the food chain.

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm a pretty ugly socially awkward woman and generally people just ignore me. My boyfriend is also pretty nerdy looking and aspergers and its the same for him. Of course being ignored is unpleasant but in general only assholes not the majority of people go out of their way to be mean.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

There have been numerous stories of women going up to men who are out walking with their kids and calling them pedophiles.

I think that falls on the "creepy" spectrum.

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Most women don't go around calling random dudes creeps just like most men don't go around calling random fat women fat.

Also by numerous you mean a few highly publicized where the women was rightfully condemned.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Most women don't go around calling random dudes creeps just like most men don't go around calling random fat women fat.

Correct.

But since the topic is people who actually do this let's focus on those guys.

Also by numerous you mean a few highly publicized where the women was rightfully condemned.

So . . . kinda an exact parallel to this?

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I never said it wasn't or that it wasn't equally or more disrespectful when girls do it to guys. But you are right. I misinterpreted your first response as a defense to calling handing fat cards to fat people

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Actually women do that kind of shit from time to time.

It's not always direct, and often some what passive aggressive - but I've seen it.

When it happens to nerdy, socially awkward dudes people just laugh. Nobody feels sympathy generally.

Sucks, but that's kind of the way it goes.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

The very definition of "creepy behaviour" isn't just to do with the behaviour.

One guy that says something is a creep, but if Brad Pitt said/did the exact same thing, the same hypothetical woman wouldn't find it "creepy".

Creepy isn't descriptive of the act, it's descriptive of the reaction to the act.

[–]treebogSJW Thought Policeman0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Creepy isn't descriptive of the act, it's descriptive of the reaction to the act.

You can say that about almost everything. For some people, insulting each other is not seen as being mean. If you don't know someone, it is always smart to be more formal and respectful.

I did not think I had to explain basic social interactions here, but this is PPD after all.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Again, you're completely misunderstanding what the word "creepy" is describing.

It's NOT describing the action of the man.

We know this, because the actions of the man, are interpreted as either creepy, or not creepy, depending upon her view of the man's status/looks/wealth.

If the status/looks/wealth of the man can change the decision of if the same action is creepy or not, then the action wasn't actually the creepy thing.

The creepy-rating is given by the woman's view on the man's worth.

How can you not understand this?

Also, the last line of your comment was pure condescending behaviour. There's no need for that. Behave like an adult.

[–]treebogSJW Thought Policeman0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

How do you not understand that all actions are completely reliant on how they are pervieved.

There is no objectively creepy, nice, mean behavior. There is just the norm.

The same standard exists for women too. Some of my friends find a hot girl acting annoying "cute".

You are simply devaluing emotions that you do not understand.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You are simply devaluing emotions that you do not understand.

I don't understaaaaaaaand guys.

The feeeeeeels!

Look, if a homeless guy says "nice ass", he's a creep. If a millionaire Hollywood actor says the same thing, he's confident and "knows what he wants".

Creepy is a word describing the reaction, not the action.

How else do you explain that houses can be creepy?

[–]treebogSJW Thought Policeman0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I don't understaaaaaaaand guys.

The feeeeeeels!

Lol, you mock me but remember this. Empathizing with other humans is one of the most important skills you will ever learn.

Look, if a homeless guy says "nice ass", he's a creep. If a millionaire Hollywood actor says the same thing, he's confident and "knows what he wants".

...yeah you said this twice and I had the same answer twice.

Let me try again. If you are saying that "Creepy is a word describing the reaction", the same thing could be said about the words "nice", "mean" ect.

Not everyone has the same idea of a "nice" action, the same way not everyone has the same idea of a "creepy" action.

Just because they are subjective does not mean they are arbitrary. It is generally pretty easy to determine what actions would be considered nice or creepy.

How else do you explain that houses can be creepy?

Yeah, most people find certain attributes of houses to be creepy. It is not arbitrary. Usually there is some consensus among a group of people of what house would be considered creepy.

The main point is that if you are consistently being told you are creepy, it is not a matter of chance. People in their 80s do not have the charisma or charm of Brad Pitt, they should realize this.

Is it unfair that attractive people are held to a different standard? Too bad! That's life. That probably has more of an adverse effect for women anyway.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol, you mock me but remember this. Empathizing with other humans is one of the most important skills you will ever learn.

why do you even think this is true?

I don't give a fuck about anyone, and my life is going pretty fucking awesomely.

Maybe you think it's true, because that's pretty much the only skill set you have?

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Watch any romantic movie. The actions of the man could be creepy if he were unattractive and she wasn't interested.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

i mean it is equality because girls creep shame guys. but i doubt the girls would just hand a card with the words 'creep' to a guy.

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW9 points10 points11 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Good point.

Women would do something much more public.

Such as this

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

thats so sad :(

now dads cant take their kids out without being accused or glared at

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Your comment makes no sense.

I'm assuming you are trying to be passive aggressive, or being sarcastic?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

i was just reading this

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

So you made a comment in reply to me, about a completely different source to the one I referenced?

How does that make any logical sense?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

it doesnt make any logical sense

[–]IwanttoliveinspaceMGTOW4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, I figured that you had no substance to put in a retort.

[–]PIBagent4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

You underestimate just how cruel women can be and what they can get away with.

[–]OlBastardRP|She said she was 18.6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (8 children) | Copy Link

Britain has socialized health care. They are within their right to tell these obnoxious hambeasts to lighten the load.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

So why we're these cards only handed to women, when men have higher rates of overweight and obesity?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

They probably were handed to men, but women are generally cared about more (often paired with children i.e. women and children) by white knights and feminists. Make it look like a female only problem to work up the white knights in law. Protect d wimmenz.. aww

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

There don't appear to be any incidences of these being handed out to men. Can you find any?

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There don't appear to be any incidences of these being handed out to men. Can you find any?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lack of existing evidence is not evidence. The card was gender neutral. MSM tends to depict these situations as female only problems.

[–]OlBastardRP|She said she was 18.0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women are more susceptible to interpersonal influence.

And they're more disgusting - physical appearance is grossly more important when considering female attractiveness over male.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Despite the fact that men are fatter, as a percentage of population, and that biologically they have less reason to be.

[–]thefisherman1961Red Pill Man-1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thanks for giving us another reason why universal healthcare is a horrible idea if you don't let people opt out of it. Not only is it an excuse for the government to be able to regulate what people put into their bodies, but also I don't want to be forced to pay for the health problems of fat people.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why is this being made into a gender issue? Overweight Haters Ltd just hates fatties. The card they handed out is gender neutral.

I for one support the cause and if they were a real company I'd happily send money their way to fund it.

[–]midnightvulpine2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think it's pretty gross to publicly shame anyone for their weight. Man or woman.

[–]Xemnas814 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

[–]remember13lover of women4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (30 children) | Copy Link

It's disgusting for two reasons: it hurts their feelings unnecessarily and the guy does not intend to help them in any way. I tell all my overweight friends that they need to lift more and eat less. But I do it because I care about them. Genuinely care about them. I also use different language for men and women, whereas I would tell a guy "Porky, we need to hit the gym" I would never tell a girl that. Because women are sensitive and you should respect that. Red pill made aware of that.

I don't have anything against fat people, but I do against fat acceptance. Fat is not beautiful and beauty doesn't come from the inside. Being born ugly is something nasty and you should never shame a woman for that. Becoming overweight is unhealthy and they would be better of without it

[–]OlBastardRP|She said she was 18.3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (29 children) | Copy Link

It tells them it's not OKAY. Clearly something that everyone else tries to avoid revealing to them in hopes of sparing their feelz.

Remember, socialized health care. Healthy people are footing the dime of these disgusting fucks.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link

Old people cost more, geriatric medicine costs a fortune.

[–]FleetingWishStepford Girl3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link

So? We can't do a lot (ethically) to make old people lose the effect of ageing and save money. And to the extent we can do things to make them healthier to reduce costs, we do it. Why shouldn't we also save costs by encouraging fat people to live health healthier lifestyles?

What is your next argument? NICU is more expensive than both of those, so we should ignore them both? Oh, what about Hep C? Those drugs are super expensive too. What's your point?

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (24 children) | Copy Link

My point is that fat shaming doesn't do anything, as fat people own mirrors. It's as effective as OAP shaming.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (23 children) | Copy Link

You can lose weight, you can't lose old.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

Do you know what percentage of people maintain that weight loss? Did you also know how much more strain yoyo dieting puts on a person, as compared to maintaining a heavier but consistent weight? Any numpy can go on a diet and lose 10kg; but that weight rarely stays off. Weight maintenance is the conversation that people should be having, not weight loss.

You're literally using the same arguments as the thin privilege Tumblr, seriously? You got nothing better?

I've lost four stone (56lbs in American money) last year and I've been at a healthy weight for like six months now without putting it back on again.

The trick is... and you won't believe this... EAT LESS AND EXERCISE MORE.

Who fucking knew, right?

[–]piouspope0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

*lbs :)

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's the one. Fixed, cheers.

Come back to me in 5 years, love.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (11 children) | Copy Link

Yeah you're right I might weigh more in 5 years with the extra muscle.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I'm guessing that telling people they are fat and that is unhealthy and generally unattractive will be more likely to lose weight than people who are told fat is healthy and beautiful.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Actually, no. Fat people know what they look like. Making someone feel worse is more likely to cause self harming eating behavior than bolstering their self esteem. People take better care of themselves when they feel better about themselves.

[–]5th_Law_of_Robotics0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Actually, no. Fat people know what they look like.

Actually a great many don't.

http://healthland.time.com/2010/10/19/study-many-obese-people-think-they-look-great-the-way-they-are/

Making someone feel worse is more likely to cause self harming eating behavior than bolstering their self esteem. People take better care of themselves when they feel better about themselves.

Which is why we only tell smokers and drinkers that they're perfectly healthy and they should keep up the good work.

Anything less and they'll get sad and smoke/drink more.

[–]FleetingWishStepford Girl0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

So if 1 in 5 people can keep off weight (made up that number, you can pick any numbers you like for the sake of my argument) we shouldn't bother doing anything to help them because 4 might put it back on? We shouldn't help that 1, and save money with that 1, because it won't make any effect on the others? That is ridiculous.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's not what I said. What I said was that maintenance needs to be treated as just as - if not more important than - weight loss, and extreme crash dieting (56kg in 12 months is unhealthy) should be discouraged.

[–]appencapndefender of fee fees7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Studies show that positively encouraging fat people to lose weight is more effective than fat shaming them. If you really cared about rising costs of caring for obese people you would help them lose weight not shame them in every public place they go to for being fat. Or you just hate fat people and are looking for excuses.

[–]OlBastardRP|She said she was 18.0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Social policing works. There really is no doubt about that.

Y'all really need to stop citing one extremely flawed study.

[–]cxj75% Redpill Core Ideas4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Agreed. I wouldn't do it unless I had no more employment future, but I really deeply despise fat people and if they won't lose weight, which they probably won't according to everything I've read, I want them to suffer as much as possible. I'm glad this group exists and agree with everything they said. I wish fat people could not go outside without facing a constant barrage of this type of shaming. They should be stoned like lepers and kicked out of food establishments and whatnot. They should not be considered citizens with rights. My close childhood friend is morbidly obese and he never hears the end of it from me, I just hung out with him and now my car smells from him being in it god damn it. He has all day to lose weight too and he just does nothing but sit and eat and smoke. No job no school no nothing.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This comes off to me as a rather harsh reaction to the fat acceptance movement.

I get it that the whole fat acceptance movement is totally fucking deluded, but this only serves to make fat women seen even more as sympathetic victims.

Handing out cards saying "You're fat and ugly" to individuals - including guilting using a hipsterish soc jus "but starving people" angle is straight up dickish.

I think the only people who deserve to be openly mocked are those that put themselves out there saying how beautiful they are - even though they are a size 16+. That's when you laugh at their folly. Women just walking around minding their own business don't deserve such treatment. The natural consequences they face in life are enough.

[–]ECoast_ManRed Pill Man1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I think some clarifications are required:

1) Fat woman online, SJWing about fat acceptance and so on? Fair game. I wouldn't do it (I don't really care enough to blackknight), but anyone who goes on Twitter or Instagram and is making this shit an issue should expect it. Frankly, it isn't even really trolling because its arguably the other side of the debate. Grow thicker skin, or get out of the debate.

2) Fat women online not talking about this topic? I wouldn't do it, I can't see any situation that would lead me to doing it actually. But I will re-iterate anyone on Twitter and Instagram should expect some measure of trolling. It's a fact of life.

3) Fat woman in public? I think it's a dick move. Like the "dancing man" on the other end. I think it's just dickish behaviour, I have a soft spot against this type of bullying though.

I had a terp on PPD recently stalk all my posts and reply to call me a fattie in all of them.

All because I defended a supermodel that some dude said was a little chubby. Can't remember her name - she's blonde.

[–]coratoad1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Kate Upton?

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes - thank you! It was Kate.

[–]Ultrablue19730 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Ugh! I had a girlfriend with Kate's body. She did look fat unless she wore really tailored clothing. Her waist was "too thin" for her top and to get a top that fit she'd have to buy two sizes larger. She did do modeling for a while, but was told she'd have to have breast reduction surgery if she wanted to go anywhere with it--unless she wanted to do porn. That Kate Upton didn't do either is something.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Link? A cursory look through your recent post history shows nothing of the sort.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (13 children) | Copy Link

Here you go, and next time, take more than a 'cursory' look before you say you saw 'nothing of the sort' :

It started here talking about Kate Upton.

Then it went here:

HOLY COW, not only have you shown to be a typical feminist with little logic. You've proven to be a typical feminist that knows absolutely nothing about health and fitness! It seems that my initial hypothesis about you being an overweight feminist is coming true, isn't it? Thanks for proving it

Most women aren't even attractive enough to attain either of those two men. Yourself included given your lack of insight into fitness.

Nope. Most women marry men older than them. FACT, fatty.

Just like most female comedians, you fail at humor. Now go be fat somewhere else. Fatty.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3wuwee/the_age_at_when_men_peak/cy0pixj

If you stopped posting on PPD for longer than an hour and actually went to the gym, you could literally multiply the amounts of men lifting weights to the women. More proof that you're a fatty. Fatty.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3wuwee/the_age_at_when_men_peak/cy0pluq

Well, it's obvious you're overweight from your clickbait postings about fitness.

Go to the gym and stop reading clickbait.

https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/comments/3wuwee/the_age_at_when_men_peak/cy1qe1x

Oh, they do. Believe me. It's just that wealthy/successful men can afford the ones that don't have any "padding".

By the way, speaking of padding, when are you planning on taking care of yours?

By feeding it?

Why are you posting during working hours? Shouldn't you be doing your work at your 'empowered wimminz' job?

[–]disposable_pants2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

All but one of those comments are from the same thread -- that's called a conversation, not stalking. The one comment not from that thread is from the day before. Have you ever remembered anyone on here from the day before?

Also, that guy hasn't posted on TRP in at least four months (never found a post of his from TPR and four months is the farthest I went back). None of his top comments are in that sub, none of his top submitted posts. Calling him a red piller is a stretch -- anyone can slap on red flair and troll.

As usual, blue pill exaggeration and misrepresentation all around.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, why do I bother?

The guy has a red flair. so he aligns himself with the red pill.

If you don't think he followed me from one discussion to another with "fatty" comments, then you're blind.

Untrue that all but one are from the same thread.

that's called a conversation, not stalking

okay, everyone, here let it be said that as far as disposable pants is concerned, hurling personal insults and ad hominems is called "conversation".

If you don't think he followed me from one discussion to another with "fatty" comments, then you're blind.

There are maybe 100 active users on this sub, and you're one of the most active. Running into you in a thread on two consecutive days is not unusual. Is everyone who replies to one of your comments on two consecutive days following you?

Untrue that all but one are from the same thread.

Unless you edit your comment again, you've only linked to two threads. Here and here.

okay, everyone, here let it be said that as far as disposable pants is concerned, hurling personal insults and ad hominems is called "conversation".

More misrepresentation. Obviously I'm calling it a conversation because all but one of those comments are from an exchange limited to a single thread. Stalking all your comments, as you claimed, implies replying to many unrelated comments in many unrelated threads.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

You appear to have a comprehension problem.

The terp followed me to another thread, continuing to call me a fattie. The point of this discussion is fat shaming.

End of story.

[–]disposable_pants1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Say you mention -- on Monday -- that you're writing a book. On Tuesday, we're having a conversation in another thread and I ask how the book is going. Am I stalking you?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Say, on Monday, you repeatedly tell me I'm fat. I refuse to enter into that discussion as it's stupid. You, unsatisfied, follow me to another discussion in which you continue to repeatedly call me fat. You still get no joy from me and so you insult my job.

Are you stalking me? I say yes. Are you fat shaming? I say yes. Are you a complete weirdo for repeatedly calling an anonymous woman fat whom you've never seen and for following her so you can keep saying it? I say yes.

You were just saying that he was imaginary. Pick a lane.

Yes, some guy made a few mean comments to her a couple of weeks ago. That is not the same as a TRP guy stalking all of her comments. I suspected that the story was exaggerated or misrepresented, and it was.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I would not make up a story that someone followed me from one discussion topic to others, calling me a fatty all the way.

[–]disposable_pants1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Great -- if it's not made up, it should be easy to link to an example of it happening. It happened recently, right? Should be no more than a few clicks away.

[–]cats_or_get_outRPW (=^‥^=)2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Tasteless and rude.

But this reaction from the police is a bit over the top:

"We are aware of the leaflets being distributed in London and urge anyone who has been handed one to call us on 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016."

[–]rulenumber3032 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The leaflets are being handed out on public transport, it is usual for public transport in first world countries to have its own set of laws for while you are on public transport that tend to enforce not being a nuisance rather more heavily than it gets enforced in the rest of the country. I don't think the police are over-reacting by trying to track down the people doing this.

[–]wombatinaburrowfeminist marsupial1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a public nuisance issue. You can't have puritan fat fighters annoying the tourists.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's illegal to hand out advertising for anything on public transport without a proper license, that's likely the reason. The number is for the transport police not the proper police.

I imagine most of these people don't have any friends. If they're not ashamed to act like that in their daily life, in public... They're probably the type of people who start aggressive political arguments at parties. Who think they can "win" said arguments by talking the loudest and the longest. They probably can't even get along with the other "Overweight Haters"; they'd all find some reason to dislike each other.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If you read the article the card distributors are described as hipsters.
Think about it - it totally is a hipster type of thing to do - brazen unwanted insulting statements pushed on strangers - because totally "greater good" reasons.

I guess in this instance, "starving people" have more oppression points than fat women (stunning moment of hipster thought clarity). Fat women on trains being handed what really are "check your privilege" cards.

Funny how when the target isn't a straight white male all of a sudden there's outrage.

I agree with you on one point - I often wonder if hipsters have any friends too thinking no probably not.

A lot of these guys think that if women weren't so fat, they would get a "hot" chick. Thing is, men and women are equally fat nowadays. If you can't attract the 30% of women who are healthy weight, you aren't in their "league" and chances are, you're overweight or otherwise unattractive too.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I don't have a problem with it. Hopefully it inspires these women to stop eating like pigs by stuffing their faces with high calorie sugary lattes and ice cream.

A man will honestly answer if asked or prompted with something necessitating this response

just more people making the world a more hostile place to live in, then sit in a circle wondering how the world got like this. Whoever goes out of their way to be malicious to people for no reason obviously has serious personal issues and lack of self worth.
