Not actionable for lots of guys because the few women who may be attracted to them "as they are" are themselves not attractive to these guys. Hence the guys want to improve themselves so that they can attract women they are actually attracted to. The just be yourself strategy, which is what you wrote, only works if yourself attracts people you are attracted to.

I don't know why it is so hard to understand that it is this statement that is so problematic. No woman is attracted to me as I am. Period. Some women are of such low value that they would settle for me, it is true. But, they would never be truly attracted to me. I'd rather be alone than settled for.

You obviously want us to tell you that this is the Blue Pill. But here's the thing. Most people that hate Red Pill do acknowledge that lifting will help, that oneitis won't help you and that outcome indepence is a good thing.

What people disagree with on The Red Pill are the misogenystic comments and posts, and the generalizations of relationships.

By having TRP include some common sense stuff (lift, confidence etc), TRP can convienently claim that everyone who uses that stuff has discovered Red Pill truths. But they aren't really Red Pill truths, they are well known truths that TRP also uses.

So, the color of your strategy is neither.

I completely agree. This has been my "strategy" (as sick as feel for using that word) for my entire life and I do not plan on changing it. Doing so seems harmful and quite frankly toxic.

Here's a dating strategy. Tell me what color pill it is.

Instead of trying to "improve" yourself by lifting weights or learning "game" or even making friends in order to gain social status, how about you just figure out the type of girls who are attracted to you right now and only ask those girls out on dates? Don't waste time with those other supposedly "better" girls who expect you to impress them. If you have to make any effort to impress a girl, you're putting her on a pedestal, whether she knows it or not.

Mark Manson has a similar term for this - demographics. No guy can be attractive to every kind of girl, and the more compatible you are with your intended, the easier sledding it is. Trying to pick up girls who don't share your values, goals, and interests is a challenge at best, and masochism at worst.

That being said, it isn't that you can't try at all with women, it's more that you can't put more effort into the interaction than she is.

Why not just be yourself and figure out the type of girls who like you? Most of the girls in my life who ever paid any attention to me were of a certain ethnicity, hair color, or body type. Looks matter. But it's mainly the looks you were born with, not so much your haircut or the clothes you wear.

This is bullshit. I've been with girls of every body type and skin color. Virgins and single moms, sorority girls and hipster chicks.

Looks are not your face. They're your body, grooming, and fashion. Thinking otherwise is making excuses not to try. I've seen conventionally unattractive guys do just fine provided their grooming/fashion was good and they had some game.

Stop watching porn, stop obsessing over feminism, and let your instincts guide you. Use the force. To hell with "game".

Perhaps when you stop making excuses and settling for girls you're not really happy with. Both approaches when taken to extremes produce unhealthy consequences, but your worldview has one, maybe two things right with it, and a bunch of stuff wrong with it.

How about a satisfying middle between two extremes? Do stuff to improve yourself and be honest about the fact that there a lot of different reasons for improving, if becoming more attractive is one of them then don't deny it.

As an example: I work out and exercise mainly because I like the feeling it gives me; the joy in doing physical stuff, the endorphin rush and the great feeling of having a strong, well coordinated body. But I wouldn't deny that there are other things that makes me do it too and becoming more attractive is one of them. I like the attention that I get sometimes but that alone wouldn't motivate me to do it.

I don't really see any benefit to avoiding improvement for the sake of some ideological aversion to game. I fundamentally prefer being strong and fit to being a weak bitch (having experienced both in my lifetime). That mindset comes before any consideration of the opposite sex.

This sounds like a terrible idea. Primarily because the act of learning game is such a rewarding and wonderful experience where the whole point is to challenge the self imposed limitations of what kind of girls you can get.

Attractiveness in men is behavioural, if we take a neckbeard and a guy who gets laid all the time and make the neckbeard adopt certain behaviours of that guy, he gets laid more. A lot of those behaviours are actually really healthy although I doubt anyone here has even heard of congruence or outcome independence, or being non reactive.

Point is game is a journey of spiritual and emotional growth. Dating girls who are "in your league" is normally based on limiting beliefs of what really constitutes your league
