Saw the movie. It is without a doubt the best action movie I've ever seen.

However, no one could make a case that this movie isn't also a very, very feminist film as well. As follows in summary:

  • All the bad guys are alpha males.

  • The good guys are a group of persecuted females. And Max. Who's role is secondary to Charlize Theron as the true film lead.

  • The main baddy portrays lots of Red Pill qualities and his women reject him. He responds by chasing after them and in so doing losing his frame and risking his kingdom.

  • One of his son's actually changes sides simply because he falls in love with one of these women. She touches him and he changes sides based on that.

  • Toward the end, the good guys receive needed help from a group of masked warrriors...who upon taking off their masks, are all a bunch of elderly women that use a young girl as bait to capture and kill men.

EDIT: Of the thirteen women with speaking roles in the movie, every single one was an ass-kicking anti-male hero. Not a single female baddy.

I enjoyed the movie. I'd be a ball-less liar to say that I did not. Hardy did awesome with the stunts. But, at the same time, the feminist lean was almost too much for me to stay in the theater the whole way. I don't mind film portraying powerful females, but not at the expense of villainizing most of the male cast.
