I've only seen this subject mentioned here briefly, but I feel as it's a real "elephant in the room". Before anybody asks, yes, I lift, I do my best at work (I'm a young doctor, I studied hard to become one) and I try to dress my best. I don't complain about my symptoms, I don't bitch and whine, I don't cry on my girlfriends shoulder.

The reason I write this post is because I've been recently diagnosed with IBS. Many will be tempted to say "it's just IBS", "it will go away, just adjust your diet" , and so on. The problem is I've had symptoms for about half of year, which sometimes mimic more serious illnesses such as Crohn's, and some other times just make life suck: bloating, gas, pains, etc.

I can safely say I tried all treatments modern medicine has to offer, and at most I had a mild (20%) relief. Some days are better, but most days are horrible. I can't pinpoint any trigger foods, stress doesn't play a role. I also understand that it's not a life threatening disease, and that many guys here battled far more serious ilnesses such as cancer, paralysis, war injuries, and I apologise if you belive I complain about something minor. I don't want to come across as a whiner, I can assure you I am not.

I've been in a relationship for about half of year now, she is a very understanding, feminine girl. 24, Low n count, beautiful, I can't think of too many reasons why she wouldn't be a RP woman.

I'm starting to belive I will have this condition for the rest of my life, and I've been to some of the best doctors in this area, so my fears are not unfounded.

Of course my GF says she doesn't mind all the canceled dates and all the times I've said "I'm not feeling my best this evening, let's see eachother tomorrow" (when my symptoms are worst, I prefer to be alone), but let's face it: AWALT. Women despise weakness, even if it's out of our control, even if we do our best to hide it. Frankly, I expect her to leave if I don't get better in, let's say, 6-12 months, and I wouldn't blame her. Do you guys agree? I belive there will be a point in the future where "I would be a horrible person for leaving him for a physical ilness" gets overrun by "weak genetics,ABANDON".
