TL;DR: Left-wing voters dislike right-wing capitalism for the same reason women and betas dislike the red pill.

As a Scandinavian, I often have a hard time accepting some of the opinions here regarding politics, denigration of "leftoids", etc. I like many parts of the nanny state, even if I may never need it, as long as it's not too invasive.

I'm sure you will agree that Capitalism is inherently red pill. If you offer a good or service people don't want, you will go bankrupt. The market is always fair, and if you have a shitty product, you can dress it up with marketing and still sell decently. The analogies to humans should be obvious: Women don't want a scrawny badly-dressed man, but he can apply (PUA) game and do decently. Or he can improve the basic product by lifting heavy things, dressing well and improving confidence.

Today, I read a tweet saying "We don't need commercial failure to know capitalism is evil, right?" And it all made sense. This is from an artist disappointed that they did not achieve commercial success, because they made a product noone wanted. Obviously, the problem (to the proud parent) is not the product. It all comes down to evil capitalist pigs blocking their success. Because every special snowflake deserves to win.

Just like women today are constantly lying to themselves and their friends (and enemies) about how beautiful they are and how 30 is the new 20, so does left-wing voters lie to themselves about the realities of the world. Of course we should give citizenships to all the refugees from Syria. That wouldn't create any societal problems at all. Of course we need to give more money in unemployment aid, and 18+yo students living with their parent(s) should definitely get more than $500/month from the state. This is turning into a political rant. My apologies.

My point is simple: There is a near perfect overlap of entitled females, betas and white knights and the political left. Each group can be seen as a separate entity, but the overall guiding principles of "uniqueness", "not my fault" and lying about reality is eerily similar. In the left wing world, personal responsibility does not exist and everyone is entitled to achieve success regardless of their actual merits. Capitalism is the red pill that shows the actual worth of things and cuts through the bullshit.
