Courting definitely needs a revamp for westernised societies. People are tired and overworked, and nobody has time to be jumping over hoops for someone else. I cannot tell you how many male tinder matches are happy that I message them first. I believe that in this day and age, if you're interested in someone, and its mutual, there has to be effort from both sides, otherwise it won't be sustainable.

I think it's a communication thing. If she wasn't interested she could let you know, if she was, she could also let you know. This weird phase is a sort of limbo isn't it? If I was on the receiving end of hard to get behavior, it would make me think they were not interested in me simply because I only get attention if I do something right.

I struggle with this too. Some people need more attention than others. I just go with the flow. And by their behaviour towards my texts etc. If they start losing enthusiasm(over time), it's a sign for me to back off a bit. That's just how it is.

That's today's mating game. Females get 1,000 "offers" and there are maybe 1 or 2 guys in there they will like. Why not be selective when you have 1000 offers? Males get 1 or 2 genuine dates for every what? 50? 100? 1000 offers they make? It's just a numbers game. A friend dared to "call out" a women who ghosted him after a nice serious of conversations. He said "Hey, what happened? I thought we had something going here!" Her response: "Listen, I have over 2000 messages to go through here, so make it good..." he said "You'd better get to work, that's a lot of messages."

For men, the answer is simple. You have to get in the female head-space when it comes to dating on social media. Small spurts of intermittent interest showcase your personality but then *WHOOSH* you're unavailable. Very sexy. Available people go down the queue very quickly - clearly nobody else wants them either if they have all that time on their hands.

Today, winning the relationship game is done by the person who cares the least of the two people involved. And that's why so many people today are miserable.

I blame male thirst (first and foremost), tolerating poor behaviour, and innate female narcissism gone malignant from the efficiency of social media which has turned dating into a shopping experience where women quickly get "selection fatigue".

The last time I gave dating a serious shot (about 2015) I found too much of the behaviour to be fucking disgusting, childish and really, disrespectful. Perhaps a lower-than-average libido at the time gave me the clarity to realise that there was no way in hell I was going to stand for such treatment playing such a stupid game trying to win such a stupid prize: a woman who thinks (knows?) a better guy is around the corner and I never have to stop competing with other men to entertain her or satisfy her?

Yeah, I mean, it's really up to you to not let a woman do this. I just was in a situation where this girl constantly said she has no feelings for me, etc. But, would try to call me all the time, look to me for a shoulder to cry on for various things, and constantly flirting with me/sending nudes/teasing but saying she wasn't ready for sex. I found out she was talking to another guy during all this. I told her from the start that I'm jealous and that two-timing was a deal breaker for me, but she pushed my limits anyways. So I told her to stop talking to me.

It's difficult because I liked her, but it's a simple solution. If she's walking all over you, just cut it off. It can seem like maybe it's a grey area, or that if you give her enough attention you'll get what you want. This is not true, and you're setting yourself up for a world of hurt if the girl doesn't respect you. Just calmly and respectfully stand up for yourself, because peace of mind is far better for you than the very slim chance she does a 180 and decides to get with you.

What's a little thing for which you don't have to make up? Because if you insult/neg or devalue your girlfriend in any way, that's not a small thing. The fact that you do it like it's nothing is exactly the problem. If you forget an anniversary or birthday that you already knew about, for example, yes you have to make up for it. What is the point of a relationship if you're not going to be romantic at all?

Most women are too easy. It's crazy that TRP men tend to think most women these days have standards that are too high. Like, what do you think men are expected to do?
