This is a point I dont see talked about a lot, but yea, some men can have a "competitive spirit" and get super jealous of even straight up strangers, these men can be legit dangerous to other men. It can EASILY happen that for example a man starts to hang out with a girl at a club, another man sees it and gets super butthurt. Can literally result in murder. Men are more likely to get murdered than woman in general, as far as I know. But even if it doesnt go that far, it can be very unpleasant. Im not a very social person, but I had a friend talk about how he started to have a conversation with a (supposedly single) girl at a house party, and suddenly got this other dude hissing at him and looking at him with a face that radiated "Im going to fucking murder you" vibes. Thinking about it, this is definitely a bit of a fear of mine, if I imagine myself approaching a girl.

But I had the pleasure to experience other men trying to put me down, just in a workplace, to impress a girl or prove that they are stronger/more confident than me or something. I had men who hanged out with a bunch of mix-gendered friends in public calling me a weirdo or laughing at my appearance (I have very curly hair and sometimes I let it grow, its almost afro-esque which triggers some people) not once or twice in my life. And I just KNOW that mothafucka is in freaking competition mode, he is putting on that "performance" for the girl walking next to him.

I just had this thought that stuff like this may be legit comparable to being catcalled/harassed. I think it is, and I dont even think its that much rarer. I wonder if men here experienced similar things?
