Why do you think the world is ruled by men and the women who look up to them? Illogical and non-reality based thinking is irrelevant so why do you care what women losing at the game get annoyed by?

Not flaired as a Q4W so going to say people get too hung up on the word, "settled." It has too much negative connotations to it here.

All decisions are settling, for the most part. By "settling," most people are really using it as more settling down... As in the term, "settlement;" to make a home. If you buy a house, you are, "settling."

I personally believe that no man or women should be settling.

In my experience on this subreddit more men are advocating for women to settle and lower their standards. They talk about how women go for the top 10 percent but they are also going for women out of their league, which is why so many of them seem to be dealing with a specific “type” of woman.

Remember the default now is that everyone is a hoe, and ought to behave as such. But only a few men can be a hoe though because it is what it is (code for Darwin sexual selection) To do otherwise is slut shaming, mysoginistic, etc.

The split is coming from the difference in gender perspectives. Women think their commitment is the grand prize in all this and they assume men think the same way. So they really don't get why this is an issue if the guy has "won" by getting her commitment.

It's the same reason why women genuinely don't understand why it could be an issue that they made Billy Beta wait for sex but another Alpha Fucks got it freely and easily. The male perspective is whoever is boning her earliest and with the least commitment to her has won. This is the difference between the Alpha that boned her one night vs the guy that had to show weeks of commitment and jumping through her hoops. I find women really don't get this unless you go through explaining evolutionary evolved male wiring on a firmware level around paternity and how that impacts a man's gut feelings about a woman and her sexuality. It is hitting alarm bells if a guy is not the alpha experience for his woman, this is on an instinctual level.

Doesn't matter what you advocate I'd estimate over 95% of men are in the dark of knowing what 'settled for' even means they wouldn't know. She has to see you as alpha first and foremost, for you not to be seen as 'settled for', and by definition that is a minority of men, unless you can learn to glitch the matrix as I call it, and change your ways.

I think men are insecure that they’re not sexually successful. Women tend to have sex with attractive men and then settle once they’re not attractive enough. Meaning men are insecure that they weren’t sexually attractive enough to experience women at their highest quality.

Men are also significantly more likely to be truly happy and content with their partner, unlike women who will often straight-up resent that they've had to settle for the man they end up with. She'll often make damn sure he and their social circle know about her resentment and just how "lucky" he is to have her. I see it all the time with my buddies who've been married for 20 years plus.

The overwhelming majority of women can say the same. Holy shit do men resent their wives. I'm really sick of this narrative that married men love their wives so much while the wives are bitter and resentful bc it's not true at all, if anything the resentment is mutual, but pretending men don't develop strong resentment for and are mean and spiteful to their wives who aren't 10/10s is just either willful ignorance, being so socially inept that you don't know enough people to see it, or complete observational density/bias.

I mean, we literally have murders that have occurred bc some guy resents his wife aging lol. How many women kill the man because she's mad over settling? Meanwhile a man gets mad that his wife got fat after kids and stabs her to death 🥴🥴

'Men aren't worth it'-men get angry.

'Women aren't worth it'-women get angry.

Its that simple. Women resent men (especially mediocre men) having high standards. Men resent women for the same. If they didn't we wouldn't have half the posts on this subreddit.

If people want a relationship they will probably have to settle. Look at the American statistics for height or weight or income and tell me that anyone really wants the average in their partner. If you're arguing that women can't genuinely settle that's another issue, and I agree its probably better to be alone than with a partner that looks down on you or is quietly hoping for better.

But if no one settles then a large majority of people will stay single for life, and then we have to have a difficult conversation about what comes next. Do we tax men out the nose and pay women to have kids? Do we import more people and hope it works out?

Nothing wrong with men not wanting to be settled for. Sometimes women do change though and resentment isn't gender specific.
