On the back of the plausible deniability thread, it would be interesting to have a discussion about if there are any circumstances in which an average man (not Chad, but also not ugly, short, fat, awkward, weird, a loser, etc. - aka a "normie") can explicitly state upfront to a woman what he wants without being considered a creep, asshole or otherwise shamed and condemned? But even if so, will he ever get it?

By "what he wants", of course it includes casual sex, but also other dating preferences such as more general sexual compatibility, physical attributes or expectations within a relationship about roles, etc.

I make no assertion either way (hence not a CMV), but have some examples of what I mean.

For example, famously, women are socially allowed to specify that they want a man of a certain minimum height, but it seems the whole of polite society rages at a man if he says he doesn't want a fat woman. If he explicitly states this on his online dating profile, he can be banned. There are also examples of men being banned for rejecting women because of her weight in OLD messaging too.

Another example is that many men would like to find a woman who has a high libido for a long term relationship so that they are sexually compatible. Women on this sub often respond by saying in that case, "just find a woman who prioritizes sex then" and have a "mature conversation" about it. Given that most women "make a man wait" as part of the relationship vetting process to gauge his intentions, he may have to wait quite a while to find out if they are sexually compatible or not. It seems he cannot have a "mature conversation" about it upfront and state he is looking for a high libido partner because she will likely think he is "only after one thing" and reject him (even if she in fact DOES have a high libido and they would have been sexually compatible). And, because he is a mere normie, and not Chad, he is not good enough for that one thing!

Which brings me to the ultimate example. That many men would like to find women for casual sex rather than a relationship. Of course, there are plenty of women down for that... but it seems only with Chad. Good luck if a normie states upfront that he is "not looking for anything serious"!

What do you guys think about this?
