I lurk here a bit and other similar subreddits. It seems the feminists are winning at EVERTHING. From college speech and due process violations to society's acceptance of women's violence towards men, it seems like they always win. Where have WE won recently? What our our victories?

A significant victory this week: in the UK election, MRA-aligned Parliament member Philip Davies retained his seat despite a very hard push from feminists to get him ousted. We should take heart from this--if one person can do it, so can others.

Additionally, the "Women's Equality Party" had an absolutely pathetic showing in the votes. This shows just how much feminism is losing control, though it's going to kick and scream every step of the way.

Not much success in Canada since our explicitly feminist government was brought to power and is strengthening gender quotas and other misandrous laws and policies. However, feminism is falling in popularity as women discover the feminist narrative does not describe reality and feminist goals are not their own. Also some MRA groups and speakers are gaining popularity. But victories elude us.

The improving awareness that causes every article that disses men and allows comments to be flooded with answers from ordinary men who have had enough.

The fact that the word mgtow is now in common circulation and the reasons for the movement are popularly understood.

The return of Phillip Davies to paliament.

A change in attitude among young women who have seen what happens to bitter feminists.

The increasing perception of feminism as a movement for embittered losers.

Edit: as for feminists winning at everything, no they are not. They may cause problems for everyone else, but they are like a therapy group which stops its participants getting better by making them more comfortable with their sickness.

I actually think that people accepting that the gender pay gap isn't really a pay gap is a minor victory. For a while it really seemed like people believed that women were being paid a lower salary than men for exactly the same job, but, over time, it seems to be being accepted that some men are paid more because they are in industries that pay more, they have more experience, work more hours and compete more for higher wages.

As soon as this was realised, people basically switched to demanding that the reasons that make men earn more are addressed, which is still extremely infuriating, since it is basically saying that the low earning industries that women go into should be made to pay more, and women should not be disadvantaged by leaving work to raise kids for TEN YEARS, its still good that some people aren't so dumb that they believe there's a guy in an office checking the gender of their new starter and crossing off a zero if it is a woman.

Battles? Ha. War's done been lost. Marriage rates are plummeting and most people only partake in meaningless relationships. Any psychologist worth their salt could tell you this is not the road to happiness, and indeed happiness rates have dropped and pill-popping is higher than ever and single-motherhood as well. Men are ejecting from the system at a startling rate as the cost-basis analysis often makes little sense for them.

Altogether, this is a major societal problem that we'll be seeing the fruits of pretty soon. If you're a schmuck like me who likes to croon over the suffering of others, then this is pretty sweet.

But the Canadian Centre for Men and Families is making a difference. And it's not the only one.

Milo's Privilege Grant is sure to have an impact as well.

We have to play the long game. Get into school. Get the degree. Get into academia. And start restoring it to normal. This means learning all of their BS better than they do. And defeating it.

Be the Philip Davies of your University faculty.

But even more importantly than that, be the SECOND Philip Davies. One by himself can do it for a while, but really it takes two. One can be dismissed. Two is an idea with legs.

Feminists lose to MRAs wherever and whenever they meet on a level playing field.

The internet has made it even possible for us to win at all. Just like creationism and other superstitions, feminism is just later at being exposed as primitive emotion-driven delusion.

Youtube is a good example. While slanted towards PC (so it's not even a level playing field), nonetheless, feminists are losing very clearly to MRAs and anti-feminists.

"We" haven't won shit, despite decades of activism. We still have alimony laws, ffs.

And tbh, I don't expect that MRA talking points will ever be mainstream. Male disposability is required to keep society running as it is now. And if MRA ideas were implemented, they would absolutely cripple the living standards of many women, who are far less independent of men than popular culture claims them to be. No way to make money by getting pregnant or marrying? No easier time at getting a job in the economy? No priority with any medical problems?

Don't wait for it, I don't expect that those victories you dream of will ever happen.

What's interesting to note is that feminists seem to think they're always on the losing side. Every victory-- and they do love to declare victory-- means nothing because Patriarchy is still oppressing them no matter what and each victory proves transient and ephemeral. I think Gloria Steinem said in an interview a few years back that women in the 21st century are more oppressed than ever before. Sure, that's Looney Tunes preposterous, but who cares?

I have hope that the next round of millennial women will be different. These women have grown up with basically only knowing privilege, preferential treatment, endless "encouragement", etc. Yes, they are taught they are oppressed victims, but many are realizing this doesn't match their life experiences - especially as they are earning more degrees, earning more after college, etc. They know. They know the idea that women don't have "equal rights" is absurd, especially in light of so many gender-based policies that favor females only.

My hope is that more and more of these women will stand up against the victim complex and finally reject all the coddling.
