I have preferences more than anything for looks and have definitely gone against these before but...

Looks: ideally dark hair, beard. Would be nice if he were taller than me because im quite tall, but I've dated shorter. I prefer chunkier men, not into muscles and bring ripped etc, I wanna cuddle a bear, not a rock. Also want someone who will appreciate my cooking 😅

Personality: Kind, empathetic, and able to self-reflect. Able to hold an intelligent conversation, similar sense of humour to me

Thats basically it. Financial status etc doesn't bother me as long as there's motivation to work together to build the life we want its cool, in the end, relationships are a partnership. However, if I find out you have problematic views and aren't willing to reflect on these, or treat people that you aren't attracted to like shit, then attraction goes from 100 - 0 real fast, even if you are all of the above

Currently have an SO that I recently started dating.

Personality: Considerate, curious, sweet, goofy, more on the introverted side like me, doesn’t always take life too seriously, but knows when to be serious. Someone who can enjoy going out, but loves staying in just as much, if not more. I like them a little on the nerdy side and I like that my current SO and I can play games together. Emotional intelligence is important to me and I want someone who can be open enough to talk about their problems with me. I want to be able to care about them and comfort them too. I have a very nurturing personality and I feel useless when I can’t be there for my partner in every aspect.

Looks: not really set in stone. I’ve dated heights ranging from 5’4” to 6’3” and never cared a ton. I like guys to be a little on the thick side, but want them to be healthy. Thinner side is fine too, but I like the extra fluff. Dont really care about hair color or eye color. Shorter hair. Usually like hairier guys, but don’t really care that much either way.

Don’t need a guy to make more than I do or be rich. My ex made much less than I did, didn’t care at all. Having a job that’s sufficiently challenging and having goals is important to me though. Needs to have good hygiene and a clean place.

These are mainly preferences but Taller than me (5ft 5+) someone I find facially attractive so usually someone with brunette/black hair that’s either short or mid length & a beard, blue or brown eyes, sees sex as an intimate and emotional act, goes to the gym + is bulky but not cut/lean, soft dom. Also non negotiable is has to take a shower at least daily and willing to support a family at some point when we have children

be tall, financially stable (unless he is a student obviously), wants to start a family in the future, takes good care of his hygiene and is overall clean. Bonus if he has a good fashion sense, but its not a requirement. Conservative-leaning, I can't deal with this liberal shit. I love Men who are actually Men and thrive in their role of being a Man. I can't say this nowadays though 💀

For race I dont care, but I am into Men who are hairier so I'm not sure If I would date an East Asian Man. Most Men I was attracted to have been Black (they're not that hairy either, but most of the time tall and attractive) and Middle Eastern. But I am open for every race. When it comes to politics of course we won't be able to agree on everything, but having overall the same morals and standards is important for me. He also has to speak my language, that's why I'm not sure If I would date a foreigner. I am not from an english-speaking country, so I wouldn't date anyone who can only speak English, since it's not my first language.

Physical:

-I got a thing for fat dudes so Jorge Garcia in Lost is a million times sexier to me than Henry Cavill or whatever. I like fit, normal, skinnyfat guys too on occasion it’s really only skinny Slenderman guys Im not attracted to whatsoever, idk it’s just something about heavier men for me

-for height I prefer the sweet spot between 5’6” and 6’2” but I’ve been attracted to men both shorter and taller than that. Average height and short men are attractive when you don’t have women/society screaming in your ear that they’re not.

-no race preference, I like hairy men though so East Asians are slightly below other phenotypes.

Personality/lifestyle:

-baths,deodorant, clean clothes are mandatory. Most men at video/tabletop game stores are my type but they’re rancid and unironically need the just take a shower advice. That isn’t to mention how apparently common it is for women to date guys with poor hygiene habits and I don’t know how they deal with that

-no smoking whatsoever, 🍃 and drinking in social settings only

-I don’t care how much money he makes as long as he has a job, no bums

-no anger issues, I’m not trying to play WWE simulator with a man.

-I’d prefer a nerdy/geeky guy but he can be into whatever, I don’t give a shit about cars or whatever but I’d love to be with a man that infodumps happily and makes me interested

-I don’t care whether he adheres to standards of toxic masculinity or not, I love me a little soy

-has to have basic social skills and empathy, I’m autistic and I’d like to date autistic men but a lot of them are undatable personality wise and it’s a shame, I’m not hearing wedding bells with an “um achually” attitude and no willingness to overcome the rigidity of the disorder and compromise.

I dont really have standards, I have preferences. As in you don't need all of these but if you have more than a couple I might like you.

Looks:

-curly hair -black hair -long midface -full lips -elegant long nose -brown eyes -low bodyfat percentage (this one is actually kind of a standard, if you don't have this it's a no go) -between 5'8" and 6'2" (open to considering outliars) -arm veins that are visible -less body hair -a V shaped jawline

Personality:

-I like guys who used to have a drug problem for some reason -mommy issues -a serious mental health problem (anxiety, BPD, OCD are ones I've dated) -be rude to me sometimes -extroverted personality -serious anger issues -I like promiscuous guys with a high bodycount -just seems to know everyone

Other shit people care about:

-some kind of health problem, like ulcerative colitis or chronic fatigue syndrome that takes up a lot of energy -a crappy part time job -used to be a drug dealer -edgy lifestyle -crappy car -lives in a crappy living situation

I base this off of my previous taste in men and these are all traits I actively enjoyed about them. I don't think my "standards" are high, they are "specifically low" as in I have a very defined type. Usually the stoner loser/drug dealer in suburban working class, criminal, emo kid type shit. I like low lifes.

I preferred (when dating as now I’m married)

tall guys (but still dated shorter guys shortest was 5’8 so only 2 inches taller than me), attractive to me (but I recognise the guys I like most other women like as well) good job or high earning potential 80k+, exercises and fit was preferable but not the extreme muscle or abs look, funny, was ready to be serious and have a family relatively soon, has a car.

Wasn’t unreasonable, I found exactly that and married him and started a family. Thank you Hinge.

I'm demi, so in order to develop any kind of romantic attraction I need to have emotional connection first. It's a rather rare event (happened around 3 times in my life) and it usually includes being in close proximity to someone with similar interests or someone who has a great passion for something and they just want to share about it and them being able to be vulnerable with me and open up to me. So basically I usually fall for my friends which isn't a very good or practical thing really.

Everything else is more on a compatibility side. We should have compatible values (egalitarian, environmentally-consious, liberal, pro-choice, LGBTQ+ friendly etc) and plans on the future, preferably have similar socioeconomic level (it's awkward to date significantly up or down), good sexual compatibility (similar kinks, fitting equipment), they should have good financial habits and some plans on the future they're working on aiming to get into middle/upper middle class. They absolutely have to like animals and be into at least some form of art.

Of course, you're more interested in visual preferences. Considering that I fell for people so rarely, beyond some very general things it's hard to tell really. I prefer Asian features and them being at least my height (5'2), better a bit taller. Not overweight, good teeth and hygiene, good hair. I like a leaner and skinner body type but it isn't a hard preference.

Physically; between 5’9 and 6’2, pale, it’s okay if he’s not in shape as long he’s not obese, and not hairy.

Personality; principled, kind, generous, empathic, mentally strong, and not afraid to be unique or unorthodox. He has to do something he loves no matter what it is whether it’s being a historian or a personal trainer. Also he can’t call women/a woman rude names like the b s w or c words. I just feel disgusted by that..

• personality? wish i knew. just someone i can get along with, he doesn’t have to be an extrovert, just not a total dick.

• i’m 166cm (5’5) so it’d be nice if he was even a centimetre taller than me

• physique wise, i don’t care, but not obese since i like travelling & walks

• other stuff like hair colour or eye colour doesn’t matter to me

• not a crippling alcoholic or total meth head
