Got it after having 2 kiddos, knew I was done. A year later the exw goes ahead and cheats. Welp, that vasectomy was worth every penny as I can now have one less thing to worry about dating again. Sure, it narrows down the dating pool but I don't care, I didn't want kids anyway. Have a new lady and she loves the fact we don't have to worry!

Got it done about 6 months before we split, it was never something that I considered as she was on the pill but she said she wanted to come off it as it was messing up her body and we had a ‘complete family now’ so I went… low and behold 6 months later she went off the rails and left and then a couple of years later had another baby with some loser 😆.

I don’t regret it as such as 3 kids are enough for me but I do often wonder whether it narrows down the dating pool. Sucks but can’t have it all. I’m at the age where I still feel young but I’m getting on a bit now at 41

i used to think it was an amazing idea, until my exwife triedt to talk me into it.

she REALLY pushed. and i got suspicious, 1 month later everything hit the fan and so began the worst 7 months of my life.

i now advise people to keep them intact, you will never know when your kids will be taken from you. or you might want new ones. mine tried her best oto blackmail me with our child (i had told her i got the snip)....it was fun to throw it in her face that i can simply have more

I got it about a year ago and it's been great. I 100% don't want kids and have been open with women I've dated since. They love it too, because it's one less thing to worry about. I wish I got my vasectomy sooner, other than that I have no regrets.

I knew I didn’t want more. I was still married when I got snipped. I was in the fighting stage with my ‘wife’ dangling from a limb looking to jump off to the next branch. She dropped me off for the surgery and then when on a lunch date with the person she’d eventually leave me for. Didn’t tell me of course. By the time I didn’t have to worry about having kids anymore she had filed for divorce. Don’t feel sorry for me… it didn’t take much to upgrade from that train wreck. For guys the grass IS truly greener.

Two kids that were accidents to me, but not to the ex. I didn’t do it until I found out she was running around with a fat loser. When the divorce proceedings began, it was one of the first things I did.

Definitely was the right decision. You won’t regret it

I got joined the club about 8 years ago because I had four kids and didn’t want more. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Never really translated to a better sex life, but gave me a true piece of mind

I got snipped about 3yrs into our marriage. We both didn't want kids, tho I had a lot of pressure from grandparents since I'm the youngest of my name. So the name will literally die with me. Anyway, now that I'm snipped and divorced, I feel like my desirability will be way down. I ultimately still don't want kids, but since the option is no longer there any potential partners will not be interested long term.

Got snipped just a few weeks after divorce was final and don't regret it at all. Marriage to the ex was completely as a result of getting baby trapped only 3 months into the relationship and she turned out to be a nightmare in marriage and divorce, so not taking any chances with that happening again. Two kids is plenty for me, I love my children but I'm also very much looking forward to my post-child life when they're both adults in 9 years.

Was getting divorced. Knew I didn’t want more kids. Eliminate a risk variable for yourself and future partner. Procedure was very easy, only “uncomfortable” but NOT painful. Recovery was VERY FAST. Everything (including sexual)felt, looked and behaved the same after as it did before.

Never have I regretted it.

I got mine about 9 years ago when my buddy at 44 sent a group text to our friend group saying his wife was pregnant with an oops. Both his other kids were already grown and out of the house. I called the next morning to make my appointment. Already had two and didn’t want my own oops. His little one is great, but I couldn’t imagine starting over again with a baby.

Got snipped at 26 when the kiddo was 8 months old. Knew I didn’t want more with my STBXW then and I’m happy in my choice now. I’m 28, and never plan on having another kid again regardless if I remarry or not.

Just got mine done 5 weeks ago. Have 2 girls, 8 and 6, and like you, no desire for more. I've actually dreaded the thought of another baby, so I've been adamant about protection with the girlfriend.

We are both looking very forward to more fun, spontaneous sex. Other than opening up more potential quickie sessions, i don't see it really changing much for me as a whole.

Maybe I'm just paranoid I'd be worried it would mess something up I think I'd rather just bag it forever
