I’m a believer and I’m still struggling with what God’s will is for my life.

It’s been a year since she abandoned me and blew up the family we had.

God has used the situation to change me in a lot of ways, but she is exactly the same.

I’ve been told multiple times by members of my family to stop ruminating on it….because until such a time that she changes it would be a disaster for us to get back together.

I know this is correct. I cannot see a scenario in which she would even realize she needs to change anything. She always laid all of the problems of the marriage at my feet.

I’m still suffering a great amount of anxiety over the pending divorce, but I’m not grieving as badly as I once was.

But I can’t help but have times when I’m by myself and I just want to send her a text saying something like “ do you really believe that it’s God’s will for us to get divorced”?

I don’t know why it still bothers me. It’s like I just don’t have any closure.

It’s not a divorce I wanted but she is forcing it and I have no choice but to accept.

She wouldn’t listen to any advice to not go through with it. She didn’t change her mind after she talked to our pastor.

Come hell or high water she’s going to have her divorce.

How can I finally get to a place of full acceptance? Can it actually ever happen when it makes no sense to me whatsoever?

To me, she is throwing away something that could be amazing if she would just humble herself and turn to God. It’s a hard pill to swallow to realize that that’s probably never going to happen.
