Hey everyone, 31y old getting divorced, my relationship has been rocky for the past couple months we’ve both done therapy both individually and couples therapy. We have no kids, pretty good jobs, both suffer from depression and anxiety. I noticed things were off when the physical intimacy was tapering off, we communicated that the situation was feeling like roommates where we just live together and not like a couple. We took a break around thanksgiving 2022 for a couple weeks and got back together by the end of the year, during this time our therapist asked to read our love language book Hers was acts of service mine was physical touch. Started the year by doing as many chores as I could to make things easier for her and was expecting that she would reciprocate, she did not. I let her know 1 on 1 that I was feeling like I was not being appreciated and loved. She tried for a bit and once again everything tapered off, we had our therapy session Saturday morning and it was productive, later that day we had a conversation again and she mentioned it was feeling like roommates again and that our relationship is a cycle, we are lovey dovey, we start to taper off, we bring up the roommates and lack of love. In this conversation she also mentioned that it didn’t feel like a romantic love and that she didn’t love me anymore “in that way”. And now we are living apart, she is now talking about selling the home and splitting assets, we’ve spoken a couple times and she is sad and our crying at times but again she is sticking to her guns and i am not trying to seem to needy or begging, trying to keep some dignity. Please let me know how to navigate this situation.
