Not every time a speaker puts words to a concept is that concept accurate. We’re telling you here that RP is a cultural thing including this ‘competition’ narrative about romance.

One of the most common RP propaganda strategies is to take real scientific concepts and apply them to completely unrelated fields. Romance is about two (or more) adults agreeing that they want to do xyz intimate activities together, it’s a type of relationship all parties agree to based on the rules they think count influenced by the rules of the culture/social groups.

Men who consume RP content are taught that they are less than and taught to blame other men and women for their struggles because it is easier than trying to face themselves. Narrowly applying concepts from general biology to human social life doesn’t make sense. The alpha/beta crap is equally fake, if you didn’t know that either. Are you here in good faith? It seems like you’re actively RP asking us to help you recall something from one of their many dumb videos. They’re lying to you, up to you what you do with that information but I promise you love is no race/competition/game it’s just people agreeing to relate to each other in a certain way.

The competition thing is very ingrained in red pill ideology. Red pill men have told me that I'm competing against other women and I've never known what they mean by that. I've never felt dating men as a competition against women in my life, but apparently that's how they view relationships. It must be so exhausting for them!

Given that there are roughly as many men as women in our society and that most people engage in monogamous relationships, you can say that this "competition" you refer to is just trying to optimize your chance of having your interest in someone retributed.

I don't think it's really wise to call it a "competition", though.

I’m not why people are nitpicking your use of “compete”. Yes, in general guys are competing for the affection of women, especially if she’s very pretty/rich/great personality. But women are ALSO competing with other women for guys as well, especially if they’re handsome/rich/great personality whatever
The only reason men compete for the affection of women is because, unless everyone you’re coming across is poly, a woman is only going to have one partner at one time
Stop bundling up actual tangible resources (food and water) with living human beings. Women aren’t a resource, the same way men aren’t
