This is either fake or he's leaving out key information because if she's got money and doesn't care that much about him or their household she would have left. I bet she is contributing her fair share and more, but he feels since her family has money he shouldn't have to try so hard to get back on his feet. Fuck that. And if she is refusing to ask her family for financial support, who really knows if she is even free to use the money he found in that account? Men suck.

Also look at how quick he is to blame all of womankind “these sisters ain’t shit”. When in the Quran and their Nikkah certificate it literally states that he MUST provide for her. It is her right. And if she decides to contribute to the household (by her own choice), it’s considered charity, the same as giving to a beggar. And if she decides not to give charity, that’s her decision. And if he doesn’t provide then he is actually failing as a husband.

Why blame sisters?? It’s God’s rules you’re mad at. All men want their cake and to eat it too.

As a Muslim woman, I’m appalled at this man’s audacity to ask this woman for financial assistance. Not because of his struggle, but because of how he got there. Notice how stated that he had to pay a CABLE bill! How messed up do your priorities have to be, especially when you’re cash strapped?

While I wholeheartedly support spouses who assist each other in times of need, please take notice of how the struggle occurred in the first place. This man is financially ignorant and extremely entitled. A loser not only in the Muslim community, but in the human one as well. Failure has no borders guys.

This is a Muslim couple. Sure in Islam men get many rights but the man should always be the bread winner and he must provide for his wife, the wife has no duty to her husband when it comes to money. The wife could be sitting on millions and he would have no right to it. I hope this queen kicked his broke ass to the curve.

I'm sure she would have helped if it was serious and he was trying his best to get them out of this situation. However, I have a feeling that she knows he's not trying his hardest and that he's probably made comments here and there about her family's money. I too, would not want my husband to rely on my parents when he is more than capable of providing for us.

In Islam, woman are allowed to have their own money ( literally the few things I like about this religion) , so I know she will remind him to step up before asking her or her family for anything. For such a patriarchal religion, there's very few benefits for women and this man is attempting to take that away from her. Naw man. If you are allowed to marry 4 wives, demand unlimited sex and put hands on your wife, you BETTER step up and pay for everything.

He was two months behind but still didn't cut the cable bill? He let his car get repo-ed? Do you know you have to be a few months behind on car payments to actually have the car repo-ed? Damn. He saw he was having problems with his job and side hustle... and it didn't occur to him to start cutting all the unnecessary bills (no cable, no Netflix, slow down the wifi speeds, use less power, cook at home and make cheaper meals, and look for another job quick) come on... this dusty lvm was just banking that his lady would take care of him. Good for her for not baying him but now she needs to dump him.

I think it's far that she expects her man to contribute to the household. Her money is separate and she shouldn't have to cover the bills 100% just because he fell on hard times. It's good that she can cover it but he also needs to pull it together.

I'm 2 months behind on the rent, my car was repo'ed, and my checking account is overdrawn. I can't take care of myself, much less my wife. What should I do today? Go out and get a job, work my "side hustle"? Or perhaps instead I shall hack into my wife's bank account and then get on the internet to complain about her.
