I feel like attacking people for their lifestyles (i.e. "you're so vanilla") are more of a reflection on the person who said it. Why do you care? I'm sorry I don't have to overcompensate in fear of being labeled "boring" because I'm confident that I'm not.

Even just having salt on hand was a luxury in the old days. Let alone the 4 different kinds of salt I personally have (regular table salt, kosher, sea and pink).

Whenever someone says that you are "Vanilla", say thank you and move on. They unknowingly told you just how special you really are. Vanilla used to be very rare and expensive. It was also very finicky and hard to grow. Only special growing conditions, paired with care, love and dedication to the plant would make it thrive. You are not like the rest of the world. You are different from them and they know it. That's why they call you "bland, boring, vanilla". They're scared because you can't be convinced, controlled or manipulated by the lower standards of the world. I love being vanilla (and it's my fragrance of choice for self care and relaxation). Enjoy being vanilla!

I was considering getting a vanilla orchid the other day and decided against it because it was too hard to take care of, I'd only kill it.

Also, imitation vanilla is made with a substance extracted from beaver anuses. So, ironically vanilla flavor is kinky AF

Great post! I’ve been playing the “cool chick” for my husband for a while and after being on FDS I changed my mind. We were dipping our toes into the poly world and sex was getting a bit.. rough. It’s both of our fault prob bc porn industry etc. Anyway, I’ve been on FDS for a little while and it’s really helping us turn things around! Whenever I read something helpful on here then I send it to him and we try to implement it into our relationship. We are both leveling up together :)
