In slavery times, biracial children came about through the rape of enslaved women by the men who owned them. Didn't Thomas Jefferson still enslave his own biracial children?

And light skinned black women kept as mistresses benefitted as much from slavery as wives of rich men benefit from patriarchy. Any comfort she has comes completely at the whims of her oppressor.

The "one drop rule" ensured that white passing African-Americans would still be classified as black and carry all of the burdens of second class status associated with such a status. Black people who wanted to pass as white had to usually move away from their communities and cut ties with their families in order to maintain their fictional whiteness. Furthermore, white-passing black women were classified as sexual exotica (having a sexual encounter with a "quadroon" or an "octaroon" was greatly prized by white southern men), so such women were at great risk for sexual harassment and assault.

It is theoretically possible for that phrase to be ended with something like "...intentionally piss on his bed" or "...openly cheat on him while other people watch" and therefore be a reasonable demand, but let's be real: we all know how likely it is that a woman will have to be told that shit in the first place.
