I already loved this sub when I first started lurking. Getting flaired "at-risk pick me youth" when I first posted instead of "newbie" made me realize I really needed to get my shit together, and I appreciated this sub even more. Because that's why I joined - to help me get my shit together on becoming a HVW and dating HVM. 💕

I love newbies discovering us and us helping them grow. I do however dislike seeing people who have just discovered this sub giving advice which is directly against the FDS handbook. Please new joiners - sit back and observe the culture.

I've also noticed a LOT of LVM posts/memes but not much discussion making it to the top (moreso than back in January when I started lurking). It would be nice if seeking advice posts or similar would be more of a focus to help assist in growing ourselves. Be a more balanced sub of funny posts with serious discussion.

I love this sub because it's so direct. There's no beating around the bush or "maybe you need to communicate more" BS. Talking will never help when these LVM don't listen and don't care. It's really made me realize how much time I've wasted with a LVM. That's okay. Got an exit plan and already imagining a future without him.

Hi, ladies! I just found this subreddit the other day. I read through the posts and I love it too. I heard about it when I was reading through r/datingadvice and read quite a few complaints about it from a few moronic-sounding men. I thought, it must be a great community! Lol. I didn’t recently break up with someone, but I’d been having trouble getting over a guy who I never dated or had any relations with. He really didn’t deserve the mental space I gave him in my mind. Anyway, I feel a lot better after reading the advice that has been posted here. I know now that I’m the prize, I will find a much better man than him someday or I’ll just be with my awesome self, and he is a moron and missing out. I’m excited to be here :)
