There’s a reason why my dad calls them organ donors. Owning a motorcycle, for the most part, is irresponsible. They’re too loud and obnoxious for me, and a man who puts himself in regular danger like that screams he doesn’t care about himself or me.

I myself am really into muscle cars but I would never make a daily driver out of it and would drive it sparingly.

Yuuuuup. Had an ex that put himself into $30,000 debt (on top of outrageous insurance every month) so he could get a motorcycle. Crashed it his first day. Rode way too fast, rode drunk, had pictures of other girls sitting on it on his phone.

I wouldn't want a life partner of mine to own one because it's so dangerous.

I ride dirt bikes and I don’t mind guys with motorcycles. I WONT however EVER date a guy who is in a biker gang because they’re misogynistic as FUCK. At least , in my experience .

They’re a dealbreaker. I had a very, very good friend who had one. Yeah, past tense—he died riding it about 3 years ago. I would never consider dating a man who has one.

Me and my sister used to hang out in the biker crowds. Toxic as fuck, the guys think they’re hot shit and sleep with everyone who will have them. Drugs, alcohol, cheating. They’re a fucking mess of a black hole who needed to be constantly getting attention any way they can.

I'm lucky I got the attraction for that kind of guy out of my system as a teen. My first bf was an illegal street racer and OMG; once the adrenaline rush wore off he was literally just the worst. Besides being super-obsessed with his car to the point where it seemed like he thought the car was more human than I was, based on comparative treatment, he also constantly cheated with every other girl dumb enough to hop into that deathtrap, like I was. This asshole would use my virginity as an excuse to cheat with whoever was willing. The only good thing about that relationship is that he permanently turned me off of "car guys". Most of them are actually in a committed relationship with the vehicle and you're just along for the ride.

Guys who are into cars and know a lot about them, but don't race (and have other hobbies!!) I am okay w/, bc im admittedly sort of basic and I find that attractive lol. Dated a couple guys like this and 2 good male friends of mine are into cars, but have other interests and a lot of career ambition, so it's not an automatic no for me. BUT what is an automatic no are the guys who stick noise making mufflers and giant air foils on their 2004 Honda civic 🙄. That's so low class and stupid.

Not necessarily motorcycles but just any man that revs an engine, plays obnoxiously loud music in their vehicle, owns a large truck if they're not in construction business or similar, or spends money upgrading their car with trendy stuff. I've never met a man of value that was ultra concerned about their vehicle.

The first guy I ever slept with ghosted and came back a couple months later (I know, I know, different times). Said he bought a motorcycle in the time we had apart and I asked him seriously if he was going through a mid life crisis. He said no, then asked me if I thought it was hot he had one. I said no LOL

Anyways, there’s more story here, but basically we slept together again a few weeks later, I lost my keys in his couch, and found them next to another girls underwear. Then he proceeded to tell me he wouldn’t walk me out because he was too lazy. Aaaaand that’s when I realized what a clown I was. so yeah, motorcycles are v triggering to me and I find them repulsive 🤣🤣

I don't think it is fair to lump all people together because they might have a motorcycle. Some people are into dangerous riding and some are just doing it to be budget conscience or because they enjoy the freedom of not being in a cage.

Totally agree. Motorcycles are dangerous and a source of so much noise pollution. A net cost on society. Maybe not a dealbreaker, but indicative of low value.

This is a good point. My ex-husband was an adrenaline junky and was into motorcycles and cars because driving fast= a rush. He had an addictive personality (porn, smoking) so this was just another way to chase a high. I’m not saying every motorcycle driver is an adrenaline junky, I’m sure there are a few who just find it a more convenient form of transportation (like if you lived in a big city and can find parking for it easier). But it’s def a red flag to watch out for.

I purposely look away when they go past. Just so they know I'm unimpressed. Saw a guy yesterday doing wheelies on a quad bike through our town. My first thought was "I hope he dies".

I have to say, I’ve always thought motorcycles were cool. I enjoyed riding so much, as soon as I turned 16 I got my drivers license AND my motorcycle license. It’s not a means of transportation—it’s a stress reliever. Driving out to empty roads and just enjoying the scenery....there’s definitely another side to it, so motorcycles are not a deal breaker for me—someone being a complete idiot on one, now that’s a deal breaker.

My ex was a biker. I loved riding with him but I don’t think I’d ever date another guy with a motorcycle. He didn’t have a real car (I always had a car though) and it was fucking terrible. We got a car together and naturally when we fought he wanted to take the car (I eventually wrecked it, blessing in disguise). We even got in an accident and hit a dog once. I’m lucky that he was an amazing rider but idk why I put myself in such a deathly situation. It’s dangerous asf!

It depends. If it was a thing where he’d ride it for fun occasionally that’d be fine. If he’s in a biker gang, refuses to wear a helmet, and wears leather jackets and bandannas? No thank you.

Also, the people who rev up the motor are annoying AF. I’d stay away from those guys too.

I don’t mind, unless the bike is a Harley. Those bikes seem to attract a certain “kind” and I’d rather not get anywhere near those men. No, thank you.
