Honestly I thought she has some mental issues going on. It seems like an abnormal level of controlling that can be brought on by stress/emotional issues.

When I was in an abusive relationship my ex would criticize my house being dirty and over the relationship I became obsessive about cleaning. He didn’t even criticize it often (he was abusive in other way) but it became a way to focus on something else.

I think this is a severe case of OCD he is talking about and you have no idea how frustrating and challenging it is to live with someone who cleans compulsively 24/7...

I wouldn't jump into conclusion here and call him names because one of my best friends has this problem and her husband is a real HVM. I recognize the signs in this video.

My friend's OCD was inflicted by her despot of a mother and had become so bad that it started interfering with everyone's Ives. Everyone was suffering, including children.

They were late for work and school because she wouldn't let anyone leave the house until she makes sure they wear clothes she picked and until she moped the floors in their 5,000 sq ft house plus basement again and again until it's spotless. Her husband hired a cleaning crew but she'd clean right after them.

She would go to her brother's apartment couple times a week to clean too without his consent.

Her children and her husband were prohibited to pick their own clothes, she would chose for them what to wear and how to wear it.

Her husband eventually convinced her to seek help and she had improved dramatically after some therapy. She still cleans my house when she comes to visit but at least it's not constant.

All I heard was "I leave my dirty shirts anywhere except the hamper, will put dirty smelly clothes back on unless clean ones magically appear in a more convenient location after I shower, and I never clean anything and constantly add to the mess so that my wife never has a free moment." Who the hell wants to be constantly picked up after all the time? I'm serious. I would hate having someone choose my clothes (!), pack them away, and constantly be hoovering after me. I get uncomfortable when I go to hotels and the staff clean the room while I'm gone because I hate putting work on others. He is lazy and shameless to not feel discomfited at his wife acting like (un)paid help.
On the other hand this woman seems to have put herself in this situation. She is giggling while he talks about how she cleans up after him, so she is fully aware she does this and finds it cute or something. Either way, people will treat you how you treat yourself. She is acting like a servant, hence she is getting treated like one.
