I saw that post on true off my chest. At the time most of the top comments were calling it out as ridiculous, which was a relief. I see posts like that all the time and usually just roll my eyes but "feminists will destroy society" was just so uniquely over the top.

It's amazing what women have done since being allowed into universities and generally being treated more equally. A woman was partly responsible for making the covid vaccine, women are slowly starting to dominate stem, healthcare is overwhelmingly female ect. It's sad thinking about where we could be if women were always allowed to participate.

Yes, let gender equality destroy society. It’s funny how men don’t consider that feminism is inclusive of the LGBTQ community. I have personally never seen a men’s rights activists include the LGBTQ community. Where are the men’s rights activists that advocate for an end to the wage gap or even acknowledge how much more expensive it is to be a woman (tampons, pads, birth control, Pap smears, less access to resources, etc)

Men understand on a very basic level that they consider us low class citizens. They just never want to acknowledge it because it means THEIR feelings get hurt when you demand basic rights and respect.

Of course Feminism needs to be touted as dangerous... What happens when women have more freedom? They stop being handmaidens and providing free labor, society and capitalism suffers, and ultimately, those in control (read: men). So it makes sense that it would be sold as evil.

What group in power would want to lose their power? Only idiots! That's why as a good rule of thumb, if society tells you to do something, as a woman, run and do the opposite thing.

I am an American woman living in Malaysia and this is so true. My dating pool here is miniscule (men from Europe pursue Asian women almost exclusively and local men prefer to stay in their cultural bubbles for relationships though they will try to pursue me because I fit an image that they associate with porn).

The HVM come almost exclusively from the middle east and north africa. Seriously. The men who have passed my rigorous vetting process have all come from Muslim country backgrounds. Of course, getting into europe is difficult so they end up here, where they can be legal and get work visas. Because they, as individuals, want to escape the cultures they are from. They got educated, both formally and informally and left. They don't want a woman with traditional backgrounds. They look for women who are independent of religious and family influences. After all, I'm a tattooed atheist educated woman...

Now I know everyone thinks that these men are trash, abusive, controlling, etc and, well, many probably are. But the ones I've dated while not perfect (haven't found one I've wanted to keep after a year or two) are absolutely self-aware and steady and calm. They may find some of my ideas brand new to them but they are the only group of men I have seen who, instead of debating it, have reflected on these ideas and embraced them. I am still friends with them all (except one...he really WAS trash) which is pretty amazing.

They have seen first hand how awful a culture can be that doesn't respect women. They have seen it in their families. And they want to change that. Consciously.
