Asked my 23 year old cousin about this just now. He said nine times out of ten these guys want women to see the pictures and think “aww how cute!” He said he doesn’t do it, but guys have told them they’ve gotten more matches doing it because these women think these guys are “safe” for some reason.

So in short, just another manipulative tactic to trick women into feeling “safe” enough to sleep with them. Gross 🤢

It's to hide and to manipulate our perception of them. Ie. one fewer current day photo for him to be judged by and accelerate a feeling of 'knowing' him

There are a ton of low IQ men who simply can't think things through, make inferences or understand the consequences of their actions. They have no ability to think "would a woman like this?"

They allow access to their camera roll and think "more pics is better" and upload random shit like memes, pictures of their backyard and any picture of themselves, logical, attractive or not.

They heard from the 1 handsome man in their office that Tinder is a 'good way to get chicks' so they put a potato picture of their 5 chins and a full body pic just to meet the quota, and legitimately expect supermodels to come jump on their dick.

Some dude had taken a random picture of the side view of himself, no head, bulging gut on display, and threw it into his bio. I asked him why he did that, he goes "oh lol, I didn't mean to". They're just DUMB. Their world view and imagination is so limited they're incapable of wondering what effect this action would have on a living woman.

Slightly related but my now exMIL gave me baby pictures of my now ex for Christmas. Framed. ... These men are clueless at best and pedos at the worst. When I flip thru OLD, I find maybe 1 per 60 men suitable. As in no red flags on their profile. OLD certainly draws the scum

I honestly don't know about this phenomena, I've noticed it too. My personal hypothesis is that they put those pictures to perhaps create some mothering instincts in women that check out their profile. Or "cuteness" factor which makes them seem more relatable, adorable. Or they plain out don't have enough pics LMFAO.

I knew a dude (in high school, but he's an adult now) who was a nice guy/incel before those terms existed and he was really, really ugly. He was obsessed with childhood photos of himself. He would say things like "look I had so much potential to be hot!"

That's what this made me think of. Though if a dude put a childhood pic in his OLD profile I would just be like damn this dude really has no modern photos of himself at all and this is all he has to work with?

I have a pic of me as a kid as my profile pic on Instagram. I copied Gigi Hadid she has that too. Then this narc I was seeing for a little while copied me too. But it's just an asthaetic. If it's on OLD like Tinder it's kinda weird gotta admit.

I think it’s to seem relatable and sensitive. “Awe, he’s just a kid at heart!” When it’s really that he’s an immature scrote who wants you to find his 12-year-old sense of humor adorable so you won’t hold him to a high standard.

I’ve never seen this, it must be new or an age thing. When I was on OLD I saw men post pics of themselves with other peoples dogs or children. “It’s my nephew! Not mine” was in their profile.

It was particularly disappointing to ask about their dog only to have them say “oh it’s my friends dog”…. So it’s your ex’s dog? If you love dogs so much why don’t you have one?

None of it made sense. No idea what they were trying to achieve.
