It's scary honestly how many men don't think it's rape when they refuse to listen to you when you say your done. If you said no, you said no. He didn't even claim that he didn't hear you, he just didn't care. Consent needs to be enthusiastic and can be taken away at any point during the act. Think about it another way, if you and he decided to not just choose a different position but have him do something extremely dangerous such as choking and you said the safe word and he kept doing it for 5 more seconds, you wouldn't be asking anyone. Him saying that he was close is a form of gaslighting. He's telling you to doubt yourself when you know deep down that what he did wasn't okay.
