The sentiment behind #mencancry is well intended, but it is no solution.

A crying father won’t get his child back from a corrupt family court, a crying homeless man won’t shelter him from the cold, and crying boys in school won’t close the attainment gap.

Tears won’t build refuges.

Tears won’t address men’s deteriorating health.

They won’t stop men being assaulted in the streets, or barred from all major refuges.

Tears won’t write male survivors back into sexual and domestic violence legislation, or reform workplace safety regulations, and they won’t end societies sneering deriding of men.We don’t ask any other group to go cry about their problems.

We create initiatives, start committees, provide provision, launch conferences and spend billions in tax payer money and private charity to *solve* them.Is telling men to cry a way of dismissing mens issues?

Internet feminists when Will Smith cried: haha look at this pathetic man baby crying over his divorce! Get over it loser!

The whole movement is built on hypocrisy to begin with. You can't ever take woke activists at their word because they frequently say one thing but do another.

I legit don’t think the reason why men “don’t cry” isn’t even a biological one. Not only are we told that we have to suck it up by men and women as kids we ALSO learn (especially since society values the things we can do as men not who we are) that crying literally will not get things done.

I was a big cry baby growing up and if there was anything I learned it was that crying won’t solve the issues that made me cry in the first place. It didn’t teach me anything, sure did it feel good? Yeah I guess but I learned that no one is here to come to my rescue and I have to learn to push through it for better or for worse.

I have a feeling after seeing men cry some people will just laugh and say "look how fragile his men ego is". Well it maybe anecdotal. Crying is healthy but it's not the solution to the systamatic problem men face in the world.

I suggest we take out a page from the feminist’s book and start boycotting them with threats of walking out. With the cast majority of men being the workers needed for society to function it would be quite effective.

Feminists: Men should be allowed be vulnerable, stoicism makes them violent and ruins their mental health.

Man: Expresses discomfort or sadness at something.

Feminists: LOOK AT THIS MAN BABY OVER HERE LMAO THE MALE EGO IS SO FRAIL.

I know venting here is good and all but I'd just like to remind everyone here activism is sorely needed in this department. Not just complaining, actually doing shit too. Because feminists are taking over men's issues too, and we all know how that'd end up. Even the well-intentioned feminists have a fundamentally fucked up and twisted notion of male mental health.
