Many women have irrational fears (it's actually a well-known fact, within scientific circles studying crime and victims, that women tend to be afraid much more than the sex which is more likely to get victimized). For a few the fears are incapacitating.

But so they are for a few men. It's called the anxiety disorder. Men just can't blame women for their anxieties.

There's nothing more that I like to do than wait in the dark in the middle of nowhere for a random woman to show up with her little girl so that I can stop girls from learning about astronomy at the hands of a very stupid person - that's my fridays.

If my wife left the house after 9 - I'd drink water from a coffee cup. i don't do that now. Of course there's nothing stopping me when she's home and I doubt she would even notice but, my irrational fears make it look like I'm a victim of her don't they?

If it's so dangerous, why not give women a curfew like we used to do? I mean, it's not like criminal men would care about a curfew. But at least if we lock up women, that we can protect them from the evil world.

Freedom has it's risks. Camille Paglia and feminists like her understood this then and fought for women's freedom to take these risks, and she's been arguing the same common sense things for decades. Being free doesn't mean you're safe from every possible risk. A utopian dream is an impossible goal.

It would be amazingly worse for women. Instead of a solid population of men around that typically are ok with intervening in situations, the only population of men outside would be non-law abiding citizens. In a city with only women out. With only women emergency services activated. Seriously. A rapist could go on an absolute tear with almost 0 repercussions. Guys would be free to rob convenience store after convenience store. Only women behind the counters and a tiny police force to go around would make them easy pickins.

After 9pm on the first day, these normally scared walk the streets without a care...until all the criminals show themselves. Or, it's not just the men out there. Women can be royal dicks, too. Women not keeping track of their drinks? Lots of rapist women out there spiking drinks like mad for the first few days of this. Honestly, it would be awesome for this to happen a couple times. Nothing will tell them how much the average law abiding man is worth until he's suddenly isn't there anymore.

This kind of question reveals the state of affairs in the world now. And, as usual, there are two ways of looking at this.

From your point of view, MensRights, this looks like a couple of women revealing irrational hatred and fear of men so severe that they can't leave the house after sundown.

And then there is the other point of view. Nearly all women have at least one friend or family member that has recounted a harrowing or frightening experience out at night. Some are that friend or family member. This fear doesn't come at the hands of tales of roving bands of women assaulting people. It comes from hearing about a man accosting them in the dead of night.

Frankly, I can relate to their fear. I no longer go out at night, because I was assaulted by a man - and the police did fuck-diddly-shit about it. They didn't have me fill out a report - they even told me there was likely nothing they could do about it - and then just dropped me off at my home, and didn't even stay to make sure I'd gotten in the front door. If that wasn't bad enough, when the cops were speaking to me at the scene, they actually had the nerve to ask if I was a prostitute. I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and they still felt the need to ask me if I was "working" (and yes, they did clarify that "working" meant "whoring"). As a result of that mindmelting fiasco, I no longer go out after dark. I'm even nervous standing on my back porch with the porch light on to have a cigarette after dark.

I miss going out for girls' night, because some asshole thought his dick was more important than my human rights.
