So a little backstory to my situation:

My ex and I were together for 4 years when I got pregnant with my daughter (planned). When I was about 3 mths pregnant I caught him cheating on me with a mutual friend and we broke up. But, being a bad boyfriend does not make him a bad father and we now get along pretty well, all things considered. My daughter is now 3 years old and we don't have any official custody or child support agreement. We've both arranged our work schedules so that I have her on my 3 days off, he has her on his 2 days off and she is with a babysitter on the 2 days that overlap (at my house). He lives about a 1/2 hr away from me and I drop her off and pick her up from his house.

Up until December we had an arrangement where he would give me $50 a week to help pay for the babysitter and the gas that I spend getting her to and from his house. Shortly before Christmas he advised me that he was short on cash and wouldn't have the $50 that week. No problem, were all short sometimes, what can ya do? But, he hasn't given it to me any week since either.

I really don't want to cause strain in a relationship that took us a long time to achieve (hes still with the girl he cheated on me with, they have a 2 year old daughter together and live together, it was tense for quite a while). So, my question is this: is this a fair amount to ask? I don't feel I'm being unreasonable, but maybe I'm wrong? As it stands now the babysitter costs me $60 a week and its at least $10 a week in gas to get her to/from his house. I think him being responsible for at least half that is fair, ignoring the fact that I also pay for the entirety of our daughters day to day needs (clothes, shoes, medicines, ect). I would love a new perspective on this as anywhere else I ask I get crazy women telling me to "take him for all hes worth" and I don't want to be unfair to him.

EDIT I accidently a word

EDIT: Just to be clear, I have no intention of taking him to court. I just want to know before I bring up the money to him (as the topic has not been mentioned at all between us in the last 3 mths) if I am being unfair and should just leave it alone.
