I am actually okay with private businesses discriminating in their clientele.

Clubs should price to promote the best ratio of clients. There should be male only and female only gyms. Businesses should have the right to refuse to make wedding cakes that support something they disagree with. There should be those men only cigar clubs.

I just want the government and the courts to treat men as equal to women.

There's literally a good reason for that: if there is an excess of men, all the other men will leave. More women attract men, meaning more drinks are sold. Companies have a simple economic reason to do this.

I’m pretty sure it’s because no one wants a sausage fest. If guys were the same price there would most likely be more guys than girls. This would happen all the time when I was in high school guys would have to pay to come to parties and girls were free. And these were parties hosted by guys.

When I think of the Women's and Men's World Cups or the WNBA and NBA, differential pay to men and women seems to reflect supply and demand. Or with haircuts, women and men generally have different standards and interests so pay different prices.

If there is more demand for men to go to clubs (I'm not sure if there is, but say there is), should prices reflect that difference? How is this situation different than haircuts or sports salaries?

I'm asking because I don't know the answer.
