Honestly, I am tempted to think that if women are fighting more/men fighting less, it's because men know they'll get their shit rocked so hard vs. another man. Women in prisons don't go in with that lesson, and it might be less of a concern on the radar for the people in charge of the prisons to want to deal with.

Rate of assault in a male prison: 255 assaults per 1000 prisoners

IMO its the same outside, its just that violent women are completely ignored or when it gets serious a man typically steps in to stop the overgrown toddlers from hurting themselves.

As somebody that came from an abusive women household(yes the women used to beat me up and threaten to tell everyone else that I was the abuser if I even spoke for myself), I can say women are a lot more violent and are ALLOWED to be that way.

I've been active as a coach in the MMA community for almost 20 years. My ex wife used to punch me in the face like it was nothing then run into whatever room my son was in and use him as a shield. She'd say I could take it because of my experience 🙄

The last time she did it before our divorce I told her that if she does it again, I'm not going to hit her but I'm going to put her on her ass and remind her what's what.

Women seem to forget that if men just collectively decided we want things to go back to the way they were we could make it happen overnight.

I haven't seen even half of this bullshit in the rest of the world I've visited like I've seen in the US.

I think violence manifests itself in different ways. From even a young age you can observe girls practising aggressive social interactions such as social ostracisation.

Before turning to violence a women is far more likely to

manipulate a man to carry out violence.
destroy someone’s character via spreading of rumour.
weaponise victimhood or leverage their extra empathy to gain power over you.
emotionally manipulate you

I’ve been in an abusive relationship with a women and here are signs of violence to watch out for

They turn you against anyone you are close too. Picking our faults in your mother, sister, other female friends or male friends.
They start to control what you can spend money on prioritising their interests. To the extent you would get told off for spending money seeing friends if it didn’t align with their goal.
They control and manipulate your career dreams and goals to suite their own and put you off pursuing things that could risk their financial interests.
They expect household chores done in specific ways for example criticising your leaving a dish to soak, not hanging up clothes on the right hanger, and they start expecting you to do more and more chores.
They shout in arguments rather than try and talk things through if you disagree with their outlook they get very angry and it’s in this mood they might then slap you are throw a plate at you or start using physical violence to try and get you to agree with their view.
They gas light you so even if you discover they are cheating it will be your fault, or you somehow invaded their privacy by finding out.

As an old woman I can assure you the vast majority of physical abusers in intimate relationships are my gender. The number of men who are being abused by women is frighteningly underreported. Men, please speak up and utilize police resources. There is nothing to be ashamed of and it isn’t your fault.

Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo, two infamous serial killers here in Canada. Anyone with a brain recognized she was the driving force in the killings, and was very involved, but cried about abuse and got plea-dealed manslaughter charges and was out in 12 years. Had a fucking kid, too. Bernardo is still a fucker, but clearly not the brains of that operation.

Women have a far, far greater amount of neuroticism and anxiety. It goes outwards and normally becomes some kind of abuse or destructive behavior very often. Men are more "chill" and go over the edge, only when pushed to do so instead of snapping for every single thing.

The inability to let the slightest slight go, the demand that "I'm in the right" and zero empathy of the other person's point of view, the gaslighting and flying monkeys. Just some man please steal the red button - under no circumstances should women ever have access to it.

And expect that prisons would be full of innocent men whose sole crime was not prepared to propose to anyone and whose sole purpose is to provide sperm.

It's a rough topic to talk about just because there are so many stats that can be under the violent category. But from the top of my head men lead in generalized violence while women seem to be at the forefront of domestic violence. Mother's are far more likely to abuse their children, women lead in sole abuse domestic violence cases but only by a small margin, and as another comment said within prisons women are more likely to assault each other than their male counterparts. This honestly could be a variety of things along with it just being they simply are better at hiding that side of them but I truly think it's just because we don't study women and violence as much as we do with men.

Men are more successful at causing harm with physical violence. But woman are just as physically violent as men and they add emotional violence to it which I think makes them generally the more violent today. I doubt whether it was true historically as men could act on physical violence against them by their wives in earlier societies.

Men are slightly more violent on average due to testosterone mainly. The small difference leads to big ones at the violent end of the Gaussian distribution. However this is the same reason while you will have more men in positions of power, simply because small differences make up huge ones at the extremes.

There is no reason for women taking less time than men for the same crime though, or blaming all men for the problems caused by a minority, or making any king of generalisation based on a difference in outcomes (like the supposed pay gap)

It's not so much that women aren't violent, but more that women are cowards and they try to focus their violence on those who can't fight back, or else substitute violence with lies and smears in order to induce social punishment or even violence by proxy.
