That is evidence of strong gender roles being enforced from a very early age. If I took pictures of the aisles and blurred the toys til nothing exact could be made out, you'd still have a very good chance at picking which aisle sales toys stereotyped to which gender.
There is a really clear message, especially for boys who want to play with anything from the pink aisle, that that is abnormal and not allowed.

Its worse, look at the amount of toys for boys over 5. they are almost non existent, they have been made either gender neutral or at least in terms of things like legs have a proportion to attract girls.

While it may not be at the top of the list of Mens rights issues, it is still a matter of awareness that should be addressed. It could be a simple case of ignorance about the day or it could be apathy or it could be outright dismissal. In any case, it is important to increase awareness of the issues men face and it can start with something as simple as support from companies like Google. If no one acknowledges our issues, or is even aware of them, how can we ever hope to solve them?

Because some people have been oppressed and devoting days to them acknowledges their oppression and helps educate everybody about the very serious issues surrounding their oppression.
I know the reasoning behind it, I just don't understand why it has to happen, it's unecessary and sometimes pisses people off, like in this case.

I'm going to write them a letter. I haven't done something like that in awhile. I feel better writing a letter instead of sending an email, or even worse, submitting something from a drop down menu and a comment on their website. I feel that it will just get lost with everything else they receive. At least a letter is physical and someone at google will surely open it, even if it lands in the garbage 20 seconds after that. No, of course not. We can advocate for equal rights while still recognizing an the unequal plight women find themselves in in many countries. Notably, Saudi Arabia has no law requiring men to wear clothing that covers their head and faces. It's not "Oppression Olympics" to acknowledge such situations.

According to the WHO, suicide is significantly higher pretty universally for men. However, note the programs listed on this page to combat the problem:
Maternal mental health & child health and development
Child and adolescent mental health
Gender and women's mental health
Again, all the resources going to help women, even though men are hugely disproportionately affected.
Circumcision is by far the most common in the United States (and Israel, but, population-wise, they don't count). However, no country forbids it. The issue is that male genital mutilation (in any form) is simply not taken as seriously as female genital mutilation (in any form). That is to say, cutting off pieces of the penis is considered totally up to personal preference/religious freedom, while a ritual nick of the clitoris is illegal and barbaric. This is the stance taken by the UN and pretty much all international organizations such as the WHO. That's not even getting into the campaigns underway in Africa to propagate and normalize circumcision to combat HIV/AIDS.
I'm not sure if dying younger is an actual issue either. I'm almost done a PhD in genetics, I haven't seen any indication that men and women fundamentally have equivalent lifespans.

Those are maternal health initiatives to, presumably, prevent suicide (since it's on the suicide prevention page). Ditto children. But children and mothers aren't the majority of suicides...
Yes. This is the way it would appear. There could be many reasons, caloric intake, metabolism differences, hormonal effects.
So, there's no evidence for this, this is just what you're assuming? Is there a good reason why we should take such gender asymmetry in aging as the default instead of assuming similarity? It couldn't possibly have anything to do with things like men being massively more likely to commit suicide, more likely to be murdered, and, on average, work more hours in higher stress and/or more dangerous jobs?

I know two people who have worked at Google, and let me tell you they are not a sexist company. Realistically they probably just haven't heard of it, since that site is edited by programmers working in the United States where International Men's Day just isn't that popular. They would probably do something if enough people drew attention to it, but a lot of their ideas just come from random staff saying "you know what would be cool?".
