As a female in the Navy, this is completely true. Many men hate women in the military because we pull shit like this. I love when there's a female chief or officer though, who will tear apart the ladies that everyone else is too scared to say anything negative to.

I actually know someone who won't hire women at his company because he doesn't feel comfortable yelling at them; they might cry.

Needless to say, the men who work for him can't stand him. He doesn't seem to have any guilt whatsoever harassing his male employees to tears.

In Qatar, the women paper-pushers have it a lot easier when it comes to chasing signatures. Just flirt with the older locals and bam you have a signature without real heavy review. If I needed a signature? It's meticulously looked through as if I was trying to scam the guy (as it should be for everyone).

I had a super "bad ass" Prof in my second year, I would see him at the University gym benching 200lbs (he was 70). Whenever a man said something dumb he would raise his voice and tell them they were saying something stupid in front of the whole class. If it was a woman he would be patronizing and make "there-there" noises. I am a woman and I HATED that so much I cannot even tell you. It was like he thought women couldn't handle being yelled at and men should just "man up". It is wrong and unfair on so many levels. Unfair to both men and women having that kind of attitude.

I hear a lot about how men don't cry because they're conditioned not to as boys. That we need to teach boys it's ok to cry so that as men they will be able to express themselves in a healthy manner.

Fuck that noise. Crying is a manipulative behaviour, it's emotional blackmail. Shit, it's what babies do to make you take care of them because they're too weak and feeble to take care of themselves.
