No. That's a myth perpetuated by the red pillers because it aids their pursuit of fame and money. The red pill leaders, men like Roissy, Rollo, and the other guys base all of their work on Alpha male behavior.

They need to create this myth, that women are attracted to behavior and not looks to push their agendas. These guys make money from what they write.

Rollo himself has just published a red-pill book. Obviously, guys are going to try to get laid. If Roissy and company come clean and say ''women are far more superficial than men.

Women are only attracted to looks and height, and regardless of how masculine you act or how buff you might be, you can't attract women, not least the women you want to attract.''

I don't know about you but I don't get attracted to a woman as I get to know her. I'm either attracted to her from the moment I first see her or I'm not attracted to her at all.

Ok. You're setting yourself up with two major problems. You are simplifying too much. You're reducing really complicated phenomena down to one word each.

Then, you've caused yourself a further problem by setting them up antagonisticaly one against the other. "Looks" for women is a photo negative of "behaviour" for men.

There is no reason they have to be binary like that.

Now I'm tempted to try and save that way of thinking with a metaphor, but I can't as this is a CMV.

But I'll say, in order to CYV, that a better understanding might be a board of lights. Each on off. And each man or woman looking at their board of 100 lights.

If you're hot yourself, you want to see 90 lights go on for that guy/gal. If you're not, maybe 30 is enough to get you interested in another guy/gal. We know what turns us on, but we calibrate our sights to who we can realistically fuck.

Maybe in men "looks" can light t 50 lights. They're the switch for them.

Maybe in women "looks" light 30. They're less attracted to them.

But maybe in women "confident and decisive behaviour" lights another 20.

And all sorts of things have their lights. Intelligence, wit, muscles, weight, facial symmetry. Some women even have a "is a feminist" light.

It's not just enough to say "30 lights are looks in women" you've got to think about where you can gain extra lights there. Shit, some well cut clothes would probably trip a few more "looks" lights as they spoof the human brain. Lift bro. Etc.

But it's not antagonistic, or an either or, or a flip of male neural pathway "looks" to use the same neural pathway for "behaviour" in chicks.

Genetics set most of our boards of lights differently, it leaves a few for personal preferences. But it's a collection of many small things. Not a binary of one "monolithic primary thing"

Beside the fact that I think your premise is a bit too black-and-white, I don't think looks or physical attractiveness are set in stone very much. Health, exercise, proper hygiene and skin care, attire (this one is probably the the most underappreciated difference), makeup, hairstyle, sleep habits, and more can affect looks dramatically. Also, behaviors matter too: eye contact, upbeat and warm mannerisms, and conversational ability can, in my experience, actually affect physical appearance. Both genders have the ability to improve themselves and to appear more attractive to the opposite sex. Wise people look at long term indicators of relationship (and personal life) success, and these indicators often reflect in how much effort a person makes to take care of themselves. In short, taking care of yourself is attractive: mental, physical, and emotional health are attractive. You may not have the most perfect facial features, but if your skin is well taken care of and glowing and you have a healthy bod, most people won't mind.

Getting physically fit does wonders for looks. So does a tasteful amount of makeup. Changing your personality is much harder, unless you use mind altering drugs (the personality equivalent of plastic surgery).

Women are attracted to looks. Very much so. Way more than people say. I don't know why so many people still don't recognize this. Women also care about behavior, and may not be as looks-centered as men are, but we still care.

I think women have an easier time being "bangable" but in terms of what a man will commit to, even average-looking men hate the idea of committing to their physical equivalent.

Ugly men are shit. If you're an ugly man and you manage to get a girlfriend or wife, she's never going to be physically attracted to you. She will fake attraction at the beginning but your ugliness will never inspire dirty thoughts. If you use dread and threaten to leave her or do whatever idiotic things TRP tells you to do, she will react positive, not because she's going to lose the hottie that makes her wet but because she's going to lose the ugly that offers her stability.

You are ugly and she will always be thinking and fantasizing about men with BEAUTIFUL FACES and fit bodies, when she gets together with her friends they will talk about how disgusting you are.

I think the order of attraction for women actually goes Status -> Behavior -> Looks. So that would mean according to me that women are attracted to status primarily, then behavior, then looks. Behavior is important, especially for not getting taken advantage of once a woman is already attracted to you, but status trumps everything.

No, obviously not. Using makeup is a common ploy used by women to increase their perceived attractiveness. Wearing good looking clothing can increase a woman's perceived attractiveness. If a woman is a little overweight, exercising will objectively increase her attractiveness. If she has an ugly face or small boobs, she can get plastic surgery. There are ways for women to increase their attractiveness.

I would say that attraction with genders is like the amounts of estrogen and testosterone in males and females (or yin and yang if you like). The testosterone amount relates to how much attraction is based on physical factors, and the estrogen amount relates to how much attraction is based on actions, behavior, and status.

I'm not saying those hormones relate in this way literally, so don't take it that way. I'm just saying there's a lot of one and a little of the other. For men, mostly physical, for women, mostly actions.

Yes but since the halo effect has one's good looks associated unconsciously with good virtues, QED men have to also be attractive to prove that they have desirable behaviour. Whereas a woman can "create" the illusion of being virtuous by looking good, and then get away with all kinds of shit.

Girls love behavior AND height. Having certain amount of cash to back a guy up is important too. Higher quality girls do not want to live in unsafe ghettos (it would be unsafe for the attractive girl who will attract all sorts of harassment.)

Guys do love looks but... subtract everything about looks and it's really just about body fitness. So don't be fat. Usually most features tends to improve as well in-line with the fitness level.

Women all typically agree on what constitutes an attractive man, whereas men's opinions on women can differ wildly. Also, women are far harsher judges than men, rating the vast majority as below average.

Sex takes only a small amount of the time spent with an SO whereas day to day interactions take the most time, having a suitable mate is important for a successful LTR ergo she must be a complete package
