Yes, I have had some good takeaways from discussions here and on FDS before. FDs taught me the importance of not being too self-sacrificing, and PPD taught me about some of the difficulties my husband is likely to encounter, especially in communication. I expect him to be overly strong sometimes. I also have realized that women really are judged so much more based on their looks. I know that's not the reason my husband chose me, so I guess I denied the importance of looks for a long time. It's suuuuper important to men.

TRP? Well, in that I didn't find much good except to realize that men can be deeply hurt over the most unexpected things despite their macho exterior. I have no brothers, so I've always been pretty unaware of the male experience.

No, not in the slightest. The advice is is somewhat counterproductive and is more likely to push your partner away if anything.

I think subs like TRP & fds are for people who are struggling to either find intimacy or sex, it's not for people who have successfully relationships.

I have some friends on here who helped me learn how to get into a relationship, but the subreddit itself just makes me a bit more thankful I am in the relationship I am.

I haven’t gotten any amazing insights out of reading this sub.

I think FDS would be more useful if I were a more naive/‘nice’ personality - but I’ve always been pretty assertive and ready to drop men, so it’s kind of what I do naturally.

Deadbedrooms: for the sheer importance of sex and how sex has the same value to my husband as talking to each other does to me. Love languages and how to use them.

RPW: How to be a better wife and mum, and not so selfish, how to improve my looks. Provides a counterbalance to my general social media consumption about relationships and women.

I also read marriedredpill for an insight into men's thoughts and choices. I've yet to find a bluepill equivalent that breaks these down as much and as in depth.

PPD: interesting debates on things like men's rights and modern feminism that I don't get elsewhere. Though it can be a bit extreme and one sided at times.

It's definitely made me more aware of the importance of sex in a relationship and more willing to do it regularly even when I might not be in the mood. Conversations here (and elsewhere with friends I've made here) have helped me recognize my own shortcomings and sources of resentment, and how to nip them in the bud when possible. It's generally given me a better understanding/empathy for the male perspective on a lot of things, which I think has made me a better and more patient partner.

It makes up for great jokes between my bf and I. I made him read TRP, and it was an interesting discussion between the two of us, but overall...it never really influenced my relationship because what I read over here seems very different from my experience.

Not yet, as I've only recently discovered PPD and learned about RP stuff, and figuring out where I fit on the spectrum of BP to RP. I'm single at the moment, but some of the RP thoughts do explain some of my past experiences with women.

If nothing else it's interesting and sometimes funny discussion.

I don't take any of this stuff into my relationship. The vast majority of advice thrown around here from the RP side is dysfunctional as fuck, and nonpillers typically don't give much advice, or at least, nothing I'm not already aware of.

I've found here great insight of women's perspective, so I think it does. I also talk here about stuff I wouldn't talk to my fiance but can be used and aplied to real situations to resolve issues that arise in every couple. I think de PPD is really useful, men and women should engage in these types of conversations more often, it's very constructive.

I read him some of the incel stuff from time to time. We get a kick. It's bonding.

The one sub I find the best is Aita. I find pretty split ones then read him the story and see how our views mesh and differ. I get a lot of InSite that way without having such clear agendas like ppd threads can have.

My parents taught me some FDS like stuff long before the internet existed. They were not wrong.

Its made me see how crappy people have become and how much dating has changed. So much more game playing, lies and manipulation today. So many are are now more entitled, lazy and low effort when it comes to dating.

What woke the most is becoming an escort. Learned way more about men, male depravity, relationships and deadbedroom from that.

Yep. They helped, especially TRP's basics.

These subs definitely ingrained the idea that I must become the prize instead of going around pedestalising women. That helped enormously. I don't look down on women, but I stopped putting my own personal goals aside for a woman years ago and it worked marvels. I became a better man and that in turn made women in my life happier around me. This is nothing but life general advice.

I deflect shit testing immediately and I don't allow any manipulation. I have good game, I know how to make people laugh, put them on edge and relax the situation. This helps me navigate social situation nicely.

I am in a happy LTR where mutual admiration is sky high. We never fight, I'm her prize, we both share an active life together and we both develop together and helping each other. I have attracted more women in the last years than ever before in my life.

And then I put 20 pounds of lean bodymass, started a company that has been growing well and is well recognised in my sector and overall I am doing better than most of my peers.

I did become wary of women. I don't think that women are less capable than us - quite the contrary, they are better than us in many areas -, but I definitely do not trust them easily and I tend to ignore them most of the time.

I just wanted to come and tell you all that I have been reviewing hundreds of Instagram and twitter accounts for our users at FDS and it’s striking 1) how attractive everyone is 2) how accomplished and/or creative everyone is and 3) how racially diverse it is. So that “femcel” theory is thoroughly debunked.

Romantic: RP concepts have helped a lot as it allowed me to embrace ‘the real me’

Non-romantic: didn’t change much but allowed me to accept who I am more. I’m just not somebody interested in befriending the average person
