ITT: people who haven't tried to restart their sex lives after an infant is born.

Personally I don't care about pets, but half the time I don't even notice them.

Boychild slept in a bassinet in our room, but the hard cutoff was when he graduated from potato to baby stage. After that we had to specifically plan for him to nap elsewhere.

I think people forget privacy is a recentish development, for most of human history we lived in one room hovels with 1 hearth, 8+ kids, and small livestock scattered about.

We kept our kids in the room in a crib when they were babies. Didn't care about sex in the same room. Most of the time our daughter didn't even wake up, but once she did that was memorable. She always woke up reallllly happy and babbling, and her dad was her favorite person ever, she'd baby scream unadulterated joy when she saw him. If she was holding something she'd throw it like burning trash and reach for him.

So that morning she's babbling and we're getting it on and he says jokingly: "I'm gonna need you to be quiet, I'm trying to make you a brother" talking made her look at him and of course she started joy shrieking. There was no coming back from that lol.

Don't care about pets either, but I do find pics weird in our bedroom. If it's not art of some sort it's not in there.

You don't really have a choice with a baby. If you moved them outside, you might wake them up and then you can say goodbye to sex! Besides, the baby just sleeps through it and if they wake half way tey don't know what's going on anyway.

What I find weird, is that up to the early 20th century, people would have sex in front of their grown children. If your family were poor and all had to skeep in one room, then you are going to see and hear your parent's sagging at some point!

Factor in that there was not much entertainment, they were probably fucking quite a lot

People are uptight. Where I come from my parents and I slept in one room and my grandparens on the sofa bed in the other. I can't imagine any Russians care hahaha.

I throw cats off the bed before sex, altho usually they know what's up and exit quickly as two sweaty bodies hurl themselves into their space. However...last week my dude and I were morning fuxing me in prone position, him behind. When we finished I realized my thicc boy had been cuddled up against my shoulder for some time and FBs thrusts didn't even scare him off. FB saw but ignored him since he wasn't trying to get pets. He just likes cuddle flush against me in bed.

Would never have sex with a baby in the room. However, sometimes my cat sneaks into my room when I'm not looking and that's always scary. My aries himbo is scared of her and on several occasions she's snuck right up behind him or next to us while we were fucking, it's a real mood killer.

Also think having sex while family pictures are visible is weird. But I'm very easily distracted, it takes a lot to keep me in the sex headspace. Don't need to accidentally make eye contact with a baby pic of myself while I'm getting plowed by four and a half inches of fury.

My bedroom is a no pet zone. Occasionally in the day they can hang out in there if I'm doing chores or something, but pets don't sleep on my room at all.

Hard no to doing it with a pet on the bed. In the room, maybe, I’ve done it before but found it weird. Had trouble relaxing. I am viscerally turned off by the idea of doing it with a baby in the room.

I do wonder if these questions are the type of thing you can’t really answer until you experience it. I haven’t had my own pet in years, I don’t have children and I’m also still in the honeymoon phase of my relationship so it isn’t inconceivable to me that after getting used to it I’ll just be like eh whatever.

I also think it depends on the type of sex, something like lazy spooning under the covers is a lesser deal than a lot of other positions/acts.

My dogs are too small to see/get onto the bed which is why I tolerate them being in the room but I would prefer they were not. Our rescue dog is very possessive of my husband and always tries to break up any funny business on the couch. Shower stuff is fine as we can lock her out. But anything else always ends up in the bedroom for privacy.

We do not keep family pictures in the bedroom. Less that I feel watched and more that I don’t want to see my family or his family picture out of the corner of my eye.

I think a really little baby wouldn’t freak me out but I can’t be sure. I think I would have a different perspective if I had kids and was desensitized to them being there?

I don't care at all. It's not like an animal or a baby is going to understand what's going on or remember it. The photos thing is even stranger to me.

That being said one of our cats is a total creep and likes to watch me and the SO having sex. We call him our furry little incel.

Hell no. People who get really comfortable with their pets or kids in any kind of naked context disturb me. They don't shit with me, then don't sleep with me, and they sure aren't fucking with me.

In the case of a baby that needs to be in the bedroom sure that's a logistic reality. But in that case babies sleep a lot so you could probably just bone down literally anywhere except the bedroom and go about your day.

We do it with our pets in the bedroom all the time. It's a little more difficult with the new puppy because he likes to insert himself into our business but we're working on training him out of that habit.

I don't recall much sex going on when I had a baby.

Our dogs are often in our room (on the floor, in their dog beds) when we’re on the bed or the dressing chair or reading room couch.

Sometimes, near the end of the session my wife will migrate towards the edge of the bed (It’s a long-running joke that I can get her so focused on the sex and the feelings she loses location bearings and we end up on her half of our king bed- it’s a wet spot game) anyways she’s ended up with her head off the bed and sure enough one of the pups will run up and lick her face.

I lose it and laugh my ass off - she says the same thing “why didn’t you warn me!” Then she starts laughing too. I just can’t help it, it breaks the mood so bad but it’s so funny. Occasionally there are some form of “3 way” joke and then we tell them to go back to their bed and we resume our fun- giggling a bit.

Pets? I'm not into dogs being present that's a bit worrying since dogs can sometimes fixate on humans in various possessive ways, but I think cats don't give two shits or hold any opinions that matter one way or the other... they are just profoundly disinterested in all that and the cat can even be on the same bed as the action (until it haughtily moves away from the humans who inexplicably won't stay still) and it doesn't bother me in the least, it is like having a potted plant in the room. Quite literally if the cat was sleeping on my hip and my partner made gentle overtures it would be up to cat to work out when it was time for the cat to move because i was being too active.

Babies? Well I'd want to screen the cot off so nothing can be seen, and not make a lot of noise either, but until the kid is either able to stand in their cot or has started saying words I'm fine with it.

Yeah I'm pretty neurotic but not that bad. idc about any of those things. I'd prefer that they not be in my direct line of sight at all times while we're trying to bone, but apart from that it's fine.

ETA a funny (also TMI) related story. A few nights ago the SO and I were getting romantic in the bedroom and we hear this like... really long, sort of wet fart. We're both looking at each other like "... was that you?" and then I sit up and look over to find that our elder beast has ninja'd into the on-suite bathroom and is now pooping loudly but ignoring us completely. One of the biggest commonalities among the gloriously uninhibited nymphos I’ve dated has been an EXTREME attachment to animals. The mindset that creates the kind of feminine attitudes i value results in misanthropy and pet obsession.

But you know? I fucking hate having a dog watch me fuck someone while it waits to go right back to its thirsty ass bullshit. And one of the biggest compromises I’ve ever made in a relationship is letting a dog on the bed. Cats belong on the bed; dogs belong on the floor. That’s my personal opinion.

I will make exceptions for glorious nymphos who like group sex as much as i do, but normie girls need to keep their slobbering proxy children out of the bedroom. I realize that’s a bullshit standard but i also feel it’s how relationships work. Many things are less “yes or no” and more “am i gonna put up with this or nah.”

My personal answer is i won’t put up with animals or infants harshing the vibe of a basic ass sexual existence. But a girl who threw orgies with me can be forgiven for not having the heart to kick a dog out of the bedroom.
