A conversation elsewhere has me wondering about this, and whether there are any patterns to people's feelings on this topic.

What are your feelings on having pets or babies in the room while you have sex?

Some couples will keep their newborn in a bassinet in the bedroom for months because it makes nighttime feedings easier (breastfeeding mom can wake up, roll over, feed the baby, then roll over and go back to sleep). Sometimes this might mean Mom and Dad are getting it on while the baby sleeps a few feet away. Is that something you're comfortable with, or is it too weird?

How about pets? Are you okay with them in the room? On the bed? If not, does that extend to getting frisky in the rest of the house (i.e. if you're having a quickie in the kitchen, do you first make sure to lock the pets up in the bedroom or something)? Or is there something "sacred," for lack of a better word, about the bedroom itself?

Personally I am pretty lax about all of the above. Obviously if a kid is old enough to know what's going on I wouldn't want them in the room. But a baby? Or a dog? Doesn't bother me.

I have even heard of people not wanting family photos in the bedroom because it's "creepy" for them to "watch" you having sex. Which frankly sounds crazy to me, but I'm curious about y'all's thoughts on it. Discuss!
