Trust me, the whole God is on your side and you're the underdog thing doesn't make for more introspection or small ego stuff.

I'm not even a progressive and I can see this isn't a politics caused it thing.

The real root of everything is that women are allowed to be financially and socially independent now. This is causing growing pains for men and the late adopters are resisting at their own detriment in part because social independence for men is only allowed up to a certain age and their entire sphere is more limited emotionally...but they don't know that often until it is too late for them.

Aren’t tall the ones hollering about trad wives and shit? About the importance of being providers? About how women’s careers, hobbies, education or money not mattering? About the importance of being virgins or sexual pure?

Where as leftists want women educated, liberated, with careers and actually choosing us vs needing us?

You can’t have it both ways. Women with conservative values are far more likely to expect men to pay, be the breadwinner, and invest all sorts of financial resources and I found them to be far more needing of me than progressive women, are more likely to advocate for 50/50 and dating men who make their already good lives better and not just having being your wife as an end goal..

There’s a reason why passport bros seek women in the third world who have more traditional and conservative values. The entire cost of even practicing that is thousands of dollars - they still have to spend on dinners and dates there too but that’s supposedly not simping but doing it in their own country is..

Have you not seen how conservatives endlessly blame men for "not stepping up" and still hold them to rigid gender roles while putting no pressure on women whatsoever? Or the endless right-wing pedestalization of white women as these beautiful angelic beings that must be protected from the hordes of brown migrants? Or the exaltation of white culture for how feminist and chivalrous and woman-loving it is?

The far-left have destroyed many things, but dating isn't one of them.

That was largely done by the Match Group.

Politics and dating really aren't as closely related as Reddit ideologues want it to be, but that's just because they're trying to use dating struggles to drum up support for their "side" of a larger political debate that has already grown too big for its britches.

I'm a bell hooks reading leftist and while I understand the systemic issues that affect women as best as I can as a man, I understand and have made videos about women upholding patriarchy, capitalism, and racism in some ways which have hurt dating culture. A lot of progressive men and women know that too 🤷

But the pitfalls of the conservative red pill narrative is solely blaming women for their dating woes as opposed to understanding how the aforementioned systemic forces have made life worse for everyone

Nah. The change is entirely due to technology. Social media has had a detrimental effect on everyone, but it has been particularly bad for women. In part, this is because women are naturally more social to begin with (and so more easily influenced by comparison with digital others). Women were also more severely affected because the grip of social media was only perceived belatedly. The challenges men faced (excessive gaming/porn/isolation) were evident and focused on from the onset of the modern internet (partially itself a form of patronising misandry). Women were perceived to be above it all, and so there were precious few clarion calls pointing out the huge risk of women slowly losing touch with reality via and internet….

And here we are. Women have completely lost the plot socially and politically, and it is having society-wide impact. It is the primary reason birth rates have plummeted, relationship formation has cratered, and results have become so unevenly distributed. Height was always a factor, for example, but with the internet it became THE factor, since it is a concrete metric (and tech loves concrete metrics).

I have no idea how to un-fuck the situation. We all need to unplug more frequently, but Gen Z and A have never lived in the analog world. It’s pretty frightening, the path we’re on….
