Being considered masculine or feminine has nothing to do with any inherent biological truth, it's just about social perception. The colour pink used to be considered masculine, now it is considered feminine. Long, thick eyelashes are considered feminine even though they occur more in men. It's just the social meaning that's given to things.

You may be looking for the words male and female.

Nah, it makes sense in the broader pattern. Nobody is saying every loud or controlling person is literally masculine by default, but dominance, aggression, combativeness, and control are traits usually associated with masculine energy for a reason. So when a woman is constantly loud, combative, and controlling, she is going to come across as more masculine in behavior, even if she is still obviously a woman. Culture can shape how people express those traits, sure, but that does not mean the masculine/feminine association is meaningless. A quiet man is not automatically less of a man, but acting like behavior has no masculine or feminine signal at all is just not realistic.

Masculine and feminine as terms exist to describe social behaviors. Any behaviors that differentiate due to biology are simply referred to as male or female behaviors.

On top of this, there is nothing inherently wrong with "loud, combative and domineering" being masculine traits. The whole "toxic masculinity" argument went too far and started labeling traits as categorically toxic, when in truth they are only conditionally toxic. There are absolutely conditions under which a man being "loud, combative and domineering" is acceptable, such as when attempting to resolve a potentially violent conflict without the situation devolving into outright violence.

It's only when those kinds of actions are used outside of acceptable circumstances that it becomes problematic.

terms like masculine and feminine are not really helpful or tell you much real information so i tend to agree. masculine and feminine are more like feelings than anything imo.

This is a misunderstanding of red pill. Having convidence =/= loud and obnoxious. Maintaining frame =/= combative. Prefering traditional gender roles (provided both sides equally agree to the arrangement) =/= domineering.

Red pill, to the discerning man, is descriptive not prescriptive. It explains how women and society at large function. It does not tell you how to function or how to exist in that world. That's a personal path and it will vary widely depending on disposition, inherient personality traits, life goals, etc. Originally, TRP largely consisted of men sharing anecdotes about what worked for them and what didn't in certain contexts, but it was always acknowledged that men are different from one another, have differing preferences, differing goals, and differing philiosophical dispositions. What works for one won't automatically work for another.

Yours is a lazy caricature trope and a product of sloppy thinking.

How do you draw the line between masculine and feminine? If you are in the camp that believes that masculinity and femininity are outdated concepts and shouldn't be used to define/judge people, I agree but you can't also say that "all those people's definitions are wrong, mine is right!". There is no clear way to draw the line so you either have to defer to the "traditional" definitions or drop them altogether. You don't seem to be in either of these camps judging from your post.

The majority of people right now are doing this performative masculinity or femininity which is essentially just cosplaying. Women who think all they need to do to be feminine is to act like a trad wife and bake all day while they let their man walk all over them and men who think acting like a Chad proves masculinity. It’s embarrassing. And it’s because no one wants to do the actual hard work of legitimately improving themselves which takes time and more effort than putting on this costume.

Feminine and masculine are traits associated with one gender or the other regardless of whether it is biological or socially determined.

Combative IS masculine coded. Submissiveness IS feminine coded. You just don’t agree that they should be this way, but that does not remove the overall social understanding of traits associated with either men or women.

Like if 70% of women have a higher level of “emotional outbursts” and 50% of men have them, that doesn’t mean having emotional outbursts is a feminine trait, that’s illogical.

It means to a statistically significant mathematically provable level women have more emotional outbursts than men

A lot of these traits are instilled in a person by our culture and how boys and girls are nurtured, not from our biological makeup.

For the most part, masculinity and femininity are not truly defined by non physical traits. I.e, you can’t tell a man he’s not a man because he’s quiet and let women get away with yelling at him.

You can detect whether a writer is male or female with very high confidence. The primary features for this are emotional vs logical reasoning and combativeness. Your premise is provably false
