I don't see how this is specifically men viewed by women. Everyone likes to be around charming, funny, and interesting people. Men will like that about other men, men will like that about other women, women will like that about men, bosses will like that out of employees, and so on.

I don't see how being interesting and charming is "dancing monkey" behavior.

You can't interact with women like with normal people, you always have to play this game of being pushy enough but not creepy, funny enough but not be the butt of a joke, charming enough but not a niceguy, you have to escalate, demonstrate your sexual intentions and be direct, but not come off rapey and creepy. You have to tolerate her shit-testing, keep up with the drama and always maintain dominance. Never appear in a submissive position, always be seen only winning and conquering, no weakness allowed. Nobody believes men have to be some "dancing monkey" but if you want to learn what are attractive traits to women there is more to it to just looking nice. No one says you have to engage in these attractive behaviors but don't expect women to just land at your feet if you don't have any.

I somewhat relate to this. Because I can be naturally goofy, funny, extroverted etc some girls love me. Other times, I'm in a brooding, withdrawn, probably negative mood and in no way about to entertain a group of female acquaintances. Yet some women seem to have this "ok how do I put a quarter in u so ur fun again" mentality and can't get in not in monkey mode rn. They take it really personally I'm just being low key. Some other girl I know usually explains it to them and sometimes they get it, frequently not.

Otoh, other girls are definitely attracted to the brooding, "dark" cxj especially because they know I'm in a band. So being a monkey isn't ur only option imo

Women and men both love validation of the opposite sex. You know what is better than video games? Working hard in a career, owning a house and sex. I only play WoT on my iPad Pro and I do it very causally.

Men are not naturally good at the social game. Every single one who appears to be a natural either had a masculine roll model or has worked at it himself through trial and error or most likely, both.

Do you think of women you aren't attracted to as 'normal people'? Or are only men normal people to you? I think if you start seeing women as 'normal people' you might find we're not all so interested in dancing monkeys and are not as hard to engage with as you think...

I'm not going to lie, bubbly people are more attractive by and large - because they seem more engaged with others and less boring. But, I tend to steer clear of the most extroverted and exhibitionist types because they overwhelm me - I certainly don't expect men to be 'dancing monkey's' but I expect men (and women) to be somewhat bubbly when they're out and about. It's just logical. It's hard to engage with someone that doesn't seem to want to be there.

That being said, faking it is the least attractive thing - if being a 'Chad-monkey' sort of person isn't you, then don't try to be one. (It sounds pretty unappealing to me personally, but hell, I'm only one woman, so...)

Be yourself, but try to turn the volume up on it, is the best way I can put it. I'm a real introvert myself and this is the advice I try to live by when I want to engage with people - take some aspect of yourself/your interests that is not too niche and talk about it proudly. Force yourself to smile and chat to people, but don't force yourself to be someone you're not.

Not CEOs, lawyers or women. Nobody successful in life puts that many hours into a video game. Because there are opportunity costs to everything. Read a non-fiction book and learn about investments. Get a second job and save for a house. Find a hobby in the real world.
