Someone mentioned that men have no leverage on dating and sex and love, at least most average men.

This is somehow true, but remember that for most of history this leverage was money and resources and a job... most jobs required strong force, so men had a natural leverage (even not considering oppression and so, women would not have been able to compete).

We moved to more service jobs, also more knowledge oriented jobs. This shfit benefits women as women can do most service jobs and knowledge jobs as men can, so that leverage men had on providing kind of dissolved.

So men's immediate leverag now is sexual. If they are attractive, they have leverage. The other leverage men have is less obvious after sexual leverage, but it is still there:

  1. Status. Women prefer men who have some social power.
  2. Money and property. Women, no matter how rich they are, prefer richer men.
  3. Skills and Jobs. Women want men who work and earn good.

This leverage does not work the other way around. Men don't really care as much about how much a woman earns (although if she is in debt, that can be a downer), her job, etc. All that matters is that she is relatively young and fertile.

This, however, does not account for the leverage men have collectively speaking:

  1. Men invent most new technological things. Not only tech, but also most projects of engineering, even just building a house, is mostly designed and the plan is implemented by men. This is because male have a more variant intelligence... there are more smart men but also more dumb men.
  2. Men keep maintainance of most infrastruture. I rarely see women in construction, cleaning sewers, etc. and probably never will. Women would rather prostitute themselves than do anything close to that.
  3. Enforcement. Most law enforcers are men. I doubt women's rights will exist when most desinfraschesed men care shit about them.

My prediction for the future

I think the sexual and personal leverage of men have not changed a lot. Women still prefer stronger, good looking, richer, working men... but that is how it has always been! But what concerns me is the collective leverage men have will not be rewarded... which is given by mostly average men that are to be desinfraschesed even more.

I predict that dating will probably not be fixed in the next century.

Women will be even pickier, to the point they join houses or places with other women just to fuck rich and famous men, and can live there for free as long as they are young and fertile. This kind of already happen. After that, they are kicked out and will have to work for themselves. This is different from the past, when women were kept around even being old. Top men will never allow law to force them care for leftover women, and honestly they will have too much power in that time to even allow any collective fairness. This power is reflected in the huge economic inequality we are moving into.

Population will also collapse more. Top men are not stupid, they will have like 20 kids and that's it. Birth control exists. If they fuck 100 women, most of those women will die childless. The hope for a family or husband will die with them.

Women who choose a traditional life with traditional men will also be screwed just as their men. Inflation will make family life as too expensive for most people. Inflation will also grow because people will ask for more money to do less, which makes sense if population is going down.

Most average men will simply stop working for a surplus. They will let infrastructure rot for most people. At this point one of two things will happen:

  1. Top men will not care and somehow find a way to have fully independent community harems.
  2. They will try to enslve those men somehow, probably with some kind of feudalism. Rent prices kind of already started implementing this. This is what happened in most of history, but tech has changed so much that I suspect this may be very different to our predictions.

TLDR: Only a few rich men and most young women will be the beneficiaries of dating strategies today. Only reason women will not change this is that they believe they deserve a top man and they rather be the side chick of a top man than the wife of an average man. Civilization is an agreement between genders that is being broken. Men produce a surplus for women marrying them. If most men are not getting sex, they will not produce a surplus, at least not voluntarely.
