Theoretically, it seems that one of the main concerns about porn is that it objectifies and degrades women, and therefore influences men toward objectifying and degrading women themselves. This is usually a major part of the panic around porn use and addiction among men.

However, there is porn where men are submissive, as in the case of the female-dominant or gay porn. Does this type of porn warp men's views of sex as much as much as female-sub porn? An affirmative answer to that question would seem to imply that sub-dom and objectifying pornography is inherently problematic, even if one is imagining themselves in the role of the objectified.

Alternatively, you could say that it is not sub-dom sex that's an issue, but the fact that porn is a fiction that does not show the real nuances of relationships, but this seems to be an overly broad critique that could be used against anything from Hallmark romance movies to violent video games. Furthermore, sub-dom practices often deliberatly aim to temporarily remove the emotional nuances of the relationship, so would these practices be as problematic as porn depicting them? I'm curious to hear opinions.
