Nah, men 100% want a woman wanted by other men...they just also want that women to only want him. Same for women. Women want a man that is wanted by other women....but that man only wants her. At it's core it's about "getting" someone desirable, because desirability means they have something special to offer.

The causal effect of preselection just isn't there.

It is not because other men don't want her that she is shit. It is that when a woman is shit, other men don't want her either.

The converse is also true. It is not because other men want her that she is great. It is that when a woman is great other men want her too.

We can even think of concrete examples. Lets say I live in an environment where everyone likes landwhales. Will that make me like landwhales? No. Conversely, lets say I live in a white supremist environment, would I reject the hot Asian babe just because everyone else is repulsed by her? No.

Many men seem to want a little girl. Sweet, innocent, obedient, shy, let's him take the lead, no wrinkles, no scars, no gray hair, no body hair. Basically a child. And they expect that child to do everything she can to stay like that as long as possible.

Men do want women other men want. They just put a lot of emphasis on her refusing all those other men. But a woman who no man expresses interest in, or even few men, is assumed to have something seriously wrong with her.

That’s not true. I couldn’t care less if a woman I’m interested in is “wanted by other men” in fact it’s more likely to be a detriment if that’s the case.
