So there is a very common belief among society (and reddit) that men and women find very different things attractive. I've always heard platitudes like "Men judge attractiveness with their eyes, Women with their ears" or some variation of that. The general gist is that a guy is attracted by physical features almost exclusively while a girl is still attracted to physical features like bone structure or height, but they don't care nearly as much as guys do and allow things like personality to make up for it. I've read lots of comments of girls being like "I don't find any guys attractive. Only once I get to know a guy can he be attractive to me.

However, I read something on here yesterday that was very interesting. Someone commented (sorry I lost the username and the comment) essentially said that girls are just as equally attracted to physical features as guys, except that their standards are so ridiculously high (chiseled jaw, perfect cheekbones, very tall, body that takes years of dedication, etc, etc) that they have no choice but try to be attracted to average guys with good personalities since the type of guys they are genuinely attracted to only make up like 1% of the population.

What are your thoughts on this?
