I'm not here to make any sweaping declarations on biological determinism. There are always outliers, variations. Medications and even the way your body handles certain hormones can affect the validity of this generalization holding true for you personally. I'm just going to tell you the outcome of my personal life experience (which, anecdotally, aligns with the life experience of others like me who I've spoken to) and you can draw any conclusions you want from it.

I'm a transgender man (born female, fully medically transitioned to male.) While I was still living as a woman, it seemed to me I had a higher libido than other women already. Didn't matter. I was still utterly blindsided by the pure, voracious need to bang and bang now that being on testosterone filled my every waking moment with. I don't think anyone who hasn't experienced both can fully appreciate just how profoundly different being an estrogen kind of horny and a testosterone kind of horny is.

I'm an adult. I know how to control myself, so let me be clear, none of this is an excuse for misconduct. If you've ever gotten an intrusive thought to suddenly push the person you're with off the high cliff you're both standing in, you know just having that in your head is a far cry from acting on it. That you'd never. With that said, personally while going through that the first thing I felt was a new found compassion for teenage boys. Having all of that sexual energy hit you at that age must actually genuinely be torturous, being before they've matured enough to self-regulate their own emotions. That double bind of insecurity and social awkwardness plus their child brain being bathed in testosterone is kind of cruel on nature's part, honestly.

If you ever doubted that discontinuity of sexual needs between men and women, that maybe it was social conditioning, it isn't. In my opinion this is a strong anecdote as to why men shouldn't put the weight of their sexual needs entirely on the shoulders of their female partners. It's also one for why women blaming their male partner's porn addiction on porn existing at all is kind of just vindictive.

But again, take away whatever you want from that.
