Taken lady here. All going ok so far. I mentioned before I wanted to plan a surprise trip for Mr D...well i've booked it all. We're going at Easter to a really old seaside town I know he'd love. I imagine we'll have romantic walks on the beach and eat lots of seafood (which he also loves).

I've started my new job and it's turned out to be a bit higher level than expected as they feel they can use my skills more than originally planned. So that's been a wee bit stressful and I have to admit is putting a slight strain on things.

He's being great though and is helping out with laundry and stuff round the house for the first couple of weeks, being really sweet and supportive, but also not putting up with my tired moodiness, which helps enormously.

Edit: another thing I almost forgot. We had a chat about babies, it was actually a thread on here that prompted me to bring it up. He agrees that we should do it sooner rather than later, the main thing it will depend on is how his career is at the time. He said that he wants me to stay home and look after our home and babies (and puppies squeeeeee) for a few years when we do have them which makes me feel so special and happy :) We're not engaged but plan on getting married in about 3 years (not in a rush and want to save up to buy a house more than a wedding), and will probably start trying for kids right after that.

We found out I am pregnant this week so we have been really happy and excited :D He has been really sweet to me and taking care of me with my random waves of nausea. Can't complain!

Everything is going well. C's putting in applications for a new job here soon, so I'm excited for him. Right now, he's napping, and it's the most adorable thing to me. I would be cuddling with him, but I just can't bring myself to nap.

No other news, though. It's mostly all individual.

I feel like the luckiest girl in my relationship. On saturday, while out walking our black beastly puppy in the miserable mix of freezing snow and rain, I hopped a fence to retrieve a ball we were playing with and pop... dislocated my right knee. Owww! My darling J has been a doll, and picking up all the household things while I am quite literally, immobilised. He has been picking up all the beta things, dinner, cleaning etc. I feel guilty, and the doc says I'll be another two weeks before I'm not hobbling. Will definitely be looking for suggestions on how to make it up to my SO, and how to maintain femininity during these travails.

Also... SO had to carrry me the very long walk from the parking lot to our home after the visit to the ER. Had I not been sobbing from pain, it would have been very swoon-worthy. Such a strong man I have :)

My boyfriend has affectionately started to refer to me as his wife, so I'm taking that as a good sign. We've never been as in love as now and my heart is soaring!

I feel like we each need to take a step up in the job/finances department though before anything is made official.

Happily taken woman! :) Our relationship has been going really well. Both of us are in our last semesters of school and are so so so ready to be done with school so we can start our life together. Even though this can be a very stressful time for us, because we can be so busy, I'm very proud of our ability to not let it affect our relationship, we may discuss what is stressing us out but we don't bring let any of it affect us negatively.

I'm single. I ended my relationship with my ex because I realized I want marriage and kids soonish and he didn't. I haven't been good about meeting people and putting myself out there, I guess I am just afraid and very nervous. So I've spent the winter improving my cooking and working out a ton. Winter is always a slow time for me anyway and I know once it's spring I'll become much more outgoing and hopefully go on more dates. It's been lonely sometimes but I've also loved spending time with myself and friends. And cooking and eating :)

My relationship seems to get better every day. Come March, we will have been together for a year and a half, and things are better than ever. We both acknowledge that we want to stay together as long as both parties continue to fulfill their role and obligations. I frequently fantasize about becoming his wife...it can't come soon enough!

We're doing okay. I've been trying to help my SO with house hunting at his request, and that's been stressful. Luckily, we're going on vacation in nine days, so hopefully that will give us time to recharge and forget all the stress of work, houses, and other obligations!

Everything has gotten better. Go figure. We both have really strong personalities when it comes to problem solving so I took over one of his side business' because it's at our house anyway so to me there is no point as to why I shouldn't be looking after it when the house is my job and he has to leave to his actual business during the day. It's been working out so great he has delegated the second side business to me, but only certain aspects of it since they can also be done from our house. Since my house work is typically done by 11am it's been nice having other things to occupy my time with and the real treat is actually being able to see him during the evenings lately.

Only exciting news is that we're going on a date tonight to a fairly new tapas bar for a lot of small plates and some drinks. Probably the cigar and desert lounge after since that is our ritual when we eat in this particular downtown. Also, his Mom, step dad, and half brother/sister are moving here in about a month. Neither of us are excited, but we need his siblings close so they don't turn out like his parents. I think his little sister is a lost cause for sure, but his half brother isn't. I don't know how we plan to handle this yet, but I will just follow my role and hope all goes as well as it can.

My boyfriend was super sick with a stomach virus last week. I felt terrible for him but I did what I could to help, mostly just getting him water and giving him a quiet place to sleep. He really appreciated it though.

We have no idea how I managed to not get sick, haha.

Well, very happy and still head over heels in love and smitten with each other.

WE are doing great, our lives are a bit crazy. I have been able to give more then ever and that's pretty great. Nothing in particular to name, just a bunch of little things and I am getting him another guitar. Very happy about that.

He had been a little strapped for cash recently, but that's okay since I'm used to my standard of living being pretty low as a college student.

Our relationship (married) is fantastic. Wonderful valentines day, where we both spoiled each other. Getting ready to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary soon and youngest child's 1st birthday.

Hubby received a raise and promotion at work and has a coworker he is responsible for now. Life is good. Trying to come up with a romantic wedding anniversary idea.

Unfortunately this week has been one of the worst in our relationship. Please feel free to jump in and advise.

We work from home together and go to the gym together (he drives us both there we don't workout together) and it has always worked surprisingly well until this week when we've had probably 3 'cross words' I wouldn't call them arguments in the sense of arguments I had in previous relationships. But unhappy, angry even heated conversations. They've been based around me being too sarcastic and him being too touchy/ easily upset. I don't think Im being anymore sarcastic than I have always been which lead me to accuse him of being extra sensitive and maybe upset by something else which made him extra sensitive to my joking and poking fun. I've tried to be less sarcastic and not joke about anything that might provoke a reaction BUT this is who I am and who he fell in love with so it's a tough one. I know I can modify my behaviour but if the real reason is that it's something else that's getting to him and making him touchy then that needs to be dealt with not my bad jokes.

Things are going much better for us. We've talked a lot more about my job situation, and my husband's been good about making me check my attitude over some things that had upset me. (I was being defeatist as all my cooking was coming out wrong, and that was, understandably, upsetting him.) Since I checked my attitude, things have improved drastically -- husband is being even more physically affectionate to me, there's less negative criticism, and he's even up for fun first thing in the morning (this never used to happen!)

We talked about the job situation, particularly since the interview went really well (I had the interviewer literally squeeing with excitement over some of the things I've done), and I've made it clear to him that he has the final say on it, and if he doesn't want to move, we won't. He's considering everything, and there's some time to make the decision as there'll likely be a bunch more interviews still.

Taken Lady: Me and my SO are going through a pretty rough time to be honest. His mind isn't his own sometimes and he smashes things up in the house. Although I am trying to make his home beautiful for him he is finding it very hard to settle (he has been travelling for so many years this is his first time to really settle down). He and my family are a little at odds over a fight we had he smashed everything (I wasn't disagreeing with him I just wanted to sort things out that evening, that he had brought up then dropped, it was just a normal argument) then it got out of hand I became catatonic and blackout I can't remember much but, my laptop, my tv, my mirror, bed, lamps, decorations all ruined and smashed. He called my brother who basically took a swing at him but, he was truly concerned as I had stopped responding. I think I was in shock. He is by his own admission hard to control. I hold him at night and in the morning and tell him everything will be okay and I can feel him hoping it will be to. He is going away for work for five months travelling and more then ever we have to get on track or else I fear that he will never come back and loose his home and the woman that he loves.
