I supposed I shouldnt be surprised (but I am) when it comes to peoples knee-jerk reaction to TRP. Do they even check it out for themselves? No. Do they have any inclination to? No. Their opinion is based on heresay and conjecture. The lack of critical thinking on reddit is really fucking ridiculous.

[–]M8_I_wil_fuk_u_up22 points23 points24 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I've been on this sub for around a year now, I'm not going to pretend there weren't some threads that made me feel disgusted with the subreddit, but there is also a lot of threads that showcase extremely beneficial information, examples and precautions.

I like to think that TRP is MensRights without the societal prenup that we can't say bad things about women even if its true. Truth without any bullshit.

[–]Jovianmoons1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I agree with you there. I wont say the sub is perfect, but it provides a platform to enact free speech upon, which to me is important when I see the amount of anti-male bigotry that exists in reddit as a whole.

[–]CarbonNightmare1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

But the hypocrisy is what turns me off most threads. One thread with 'boo hoo women are all cheating bitches' and right under it 'look how cool I am, I got this woman to cheat on her husband with me'. Rational people can smell the circlejerk from miles away.

[–]M8_I_wil_fuk_u_up1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I agree completely.. The "I'm going to fuck your woman" thread was do un nessecary..

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's a matter of not caring. The people who say "boo hoo women are all cheating bitches" are the guys who care about women and want to be honest, upstanding providers. The rest have moved on from that pipe dream.

[–]Casanova-Quinn39 points40 points41 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

I think a lot of their opinion is also based on the loud minority we have on this sub that are angry at women after swallowing the red pill. They don't realize that this initial anger later turns into a more neutral or "it is what it is" mentality.

[–]ComplainyGuy10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I'm relatively new and it took me a few months to realise the loud bitter boys weren't the majority of redpill.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

It's like when a guy complains about a gf/wife cheating. It's not something to get mad about, but just accept that all women cheat and move on.

[–]Swifthand -1 points-1 points-1 points 12 years ago [recovered] | Copy Link

the loud minority

Isn't TRP growing in subscription numbers rapidly? Then the loud ones aren't a minority.

[–]Murasa1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago [recovered] (0 children) | Copy Link

There are always more students than teachers. Some will stay and grow, others will languish.

[–]Endorsed Contributorvacuu9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's just the way humans are in general.

[–]drugdoctor878 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

honestly, the majority of the general population lacks critical thinking.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

A single computer science course can confirm that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It really is sad. Since I entered the Manosphere about 2 years ago, I have often tried to get my male coworkers to accept some red pill truths, but it's always met with "You hate women." The other day, one said that I should listen to some new rap song because "the lyrics hate women like you do". It's sad that they refuse to have any kind of discussion that is critical of female nature or the current dating/marriage market. And now, as they graduate college and carousel riders come to get on the gravy train, they are getting burned in ways I tried so hard to warn them about. My own brother is now more or less disowned by my family because he knocked up a bitch who refused to let my parents into the hospital when the kid was born and only lets them see him for 2 hours each weekend. When my dad confronted my brother about the fact that he is obviously not going to be a part of the kid's life despite him spending all of the money on the kid, he flipped into hardcore bluepill mode and hasn't spoken to my dad since.

It's taught me to just MGTOW and shut up in real life, because this forum is one of the only places in the world where the truth isn't verboten.

Those 2 clearly don't belong there. Must have been awkward for them.

[–]16 TRP VanguardTRPsubmitter9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They're obviously Asian exchange students and had no idea what typical American /r/relationships redditors are

[–][deleted] 28 points29 points30 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I've genuinely never seen a less attractive group of young(ish) adults

[–]nSaneMadness15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The dude in the middle looks like he got lost on his way to a LARP meet...

I find the most amusing thing about this is that the couple of times I've seen this pic mentioned, TRPers seem to unanimously agree that the only interesting women aren't showing their tits.

[–]caius_iulius_caesar10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

I've been to a couple of reddit meetups, and the people there seemed younger and significantly more attractive than these ones. They also didn't disrobe.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They take off their robe and wizard hat.

Jesus, could you imagine if I went to one? It'd be the first actual reddit lynching. I'd have to go as somebody else.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Same, I met a few good friends I hang out regurlaly at reddit meetups. But I also found a few crazies too. Pretty fun overall, if you go in expecting to not get laid.

[–]16 TRP VanguardTRPsubmitter15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

The black girl on the far right is like..."wtf am I doing here"

[–][deleted] -3 points-2 points-1 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Nah, the glasses and awkward smile makes me think she's from the burbs.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I usually like boobies, but I don't see anything good in that picture, nothing, at all.

[–]Mr_Bell8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Opioidus1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Le excited redditor(the one in the far right bending over, looking like he's about to have heart attack)gives me the chuckles every time. His boobs aren't that bad either, 3/10.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

He really is loving it.

[–]Manuel_S1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They look way too short and fat, thats not right.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Best tits 10/10 on the right of the guy in the center.

[–]46xy-2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

This is the must superficial thing I have ever read.

So, these guys look like nerds and?

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

And are surrounded by disgusting women, and seem proud of it.

[–]46xy0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I understand social proof and SMV etc etc. That is how society works, it is retarded in that sense.

I befriend people based on character not by aesthetic. Another thing is if I bang hot girls or not, which is completely unrelated.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

You can't tell me that there is nothing weird about that picture. How many pictures do you appear in with fat, ugly, naked women?

[–]46xy0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That's irrelevant as to whether or not their opinion matters.

Its not important who a criticism comes from, more the truth of it. That is the definition of rationale, of NOT HAMSTERING. we must all fight the hamster.

The Asian bro on the far left might make it if he puts down his beer and bowl of ice cream and hits the gym. The rest of them are pretty much fucked.

Yes, the redpill doesn't hold back. People are not equal, genetically, by station of birth, or what have you.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

According to this sub. All they have to do is work on their physical aspect obviously by losing the weight. And building up a frame that women find attractive.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I genuinely feel bad for you because you must have very low respect for your self.

It's self improvement, it's in the name. You improve your self for your self and no one else. A large part of red pill is realising that no one gives really gives a shit about you, so forget pleasing anyone but yourself.

Never give up on your self.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]mdadm68 points69 points70 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

I'm seriously surprised at the amount of people threatening personal attacks... all because of an idea they don't agree with.

[–]xAorta46 points47 points48 points 12 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

"I don't agree with you, so I must hurt you." Yet these are the same people advocating tolerance of other people?

[–]In_Liberty59 points60 points61 points 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Typical leftist bullshit.

[–]someotherdudeagain7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Leftists have been responsible for much evil in the world, all while preaching niceness.

[–][deleted] -1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Don't know why ya got downvoted, this is something that has always been true, from the French Revolution, to Stalinist Russia, to the Khmer Rouge Cambodia.

When equality is enforced at gunpoint, terrible things happen

[–]QualityControlled-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Franco, Tojo, and Hitler weren't exactly nice guys either though. Remember, TRP isn't politics. It's human behavior. We need to be really careful about how far we extrapolate some of these theories.

[–]someotherdudeagain0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Leftism is enforced equality of things which are not equal. It's contrary to human nature. If you are a leftist, you need to take another red pill.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Right, but Franco, Tojo, and Hitler were far from individualists. I'm talking of the danger of collective ideology, which I think by its very nature runs counter to that of The Red Pill.

[–]someotherdudeagain0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some degree of collectivism/group identity is natural. This dream of worldwide universal equality of the left is not natural. Its delusions are what lead to suffering.

And yes, I would not claim right-wing populism as my own people, either. I prefer the organic state to the dreams of those who would remake human nature.

[–]Meglomaniac30 points31 points32 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

The thing is, that all these white knights who say that they would do personal attacks would never say a word to a real alpha in life.

[–]Cask_Strength_Islay6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

all these white knights who say that they would do personal attacks would never say a word to a real alpha in life.

Like all internet tough people, they wouldn't say boo to anyone IRL.

[–]StoicThePariah[🍰] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They do in groups.

[–]Opioidus-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Implying they ever go out and leave their basements, let alone to places where a real alphas might be present, let alone challenging that real alpha in real life.

[–][deleted] 42 points43 points44 points 12 years ago* (4 children) | Copy Link

Trp is just accepting the biology we are governed by.

Its not a woman hating thing, I like women anyways...

This place just accepts low value men will be cheated on and fucked over more often than not. Women are attracted to high value men, they aren't attracted to nice personalities. That men in relationships should focus on their own needs first rather than serve solely their wives.

That's not woman hating.

Edit~ just read a post seriously suggesting this place is for Nazi glorification.... I think people have issues with being objective.

[–]randarrow[S] 17 points18 points19 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Yeah, that surprised me the most, more than the rape accusations, that they think we hate women. We don't. Most men here adore women.

[–]abcd_z12 points13 points14 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I was accused of misogyny for being a PUA. By definition, (the argument went) sleeping with many women is objectification and displays an inherent hatred of women.

I honestly have no idea what goes through these peoples' heads.

[–]Endorsed ContributorrebuildingMyself9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The female imperative thrives off the supplication of mislead betas, so will lash out when this system is threatened

[–]ZenNate129 points130 points131 points 12 years ago (37 children) | Copy Link

They simply don't understand what TRP is about. This is my first day knowing and subscribing to this sub, so I may not understand everything yet. But from what I've read so far it seems that TRP is not about hating women but about being objective and honest as to what the rules of the game are and how to use that information to play it as well as one can. Women do that and don't hide the fact that they do. Why can't men strategize as well?

I have to say that so far I am blown away by this sub. I've been reading for hours and I feel like I have a markedly better understanding of human nature for my efforts. This is a really cool community.

[–]puaSenator60 points61 points62 points 12 years ago (22 children) | Copy Link

The primary issue with this sub is the false understanding of what the philosophy is about. It's sort of like creationists having a false understanding of what evolution is. Most people's first time coming here is after they hear negative false assumptions about this sub, so they enter with a negative bias already. So naturally they just confirm their negative bias. Here is a perfect example of what people falsely think about this sub, as taken from that linked conversation:

And there's the whole, women's only purpose is to please men, that they're dumber than men, that they shouldn't have careers, that the only way to treat women is like shit, that you should never get married because that means you had to give something up, and a bunch of other ridiculous shit. Oh, and also that despite women being less intelligent, they are also somehow controlling all men and the red pill is men figuring it out and taking power back.

This whole thing is wrong from end-to-end. People that think this is what TRP is about have clearly never actually tried to understand what we are trying to say with an open mind.

women's only purpose is to please men

I've never heard this on this sub before. No one here has ever said a woman's ONLY purpose is to please men.

that they're dumber than men

Nope, just that men are more logical when dealing with things, while women are more emotional when dealing with things. This does not equate to intelligence at all. In fact, women tend to clump up in the center of the IQ bell curve more than men. Men are more spread out with extremely dumber and extremely smarter.

that they shouldn't have careers

I hope my wife has a career. I rather have her do something with her time than sit at home all day. All TRP encourages is putting your career on hold until you can find a man and have a kid. Too many women do the whole career thing right away, spend 60 hours a week working, rarely go out, can't find a LTR because they are so busy, and then when they hit 35, all of a sudden they realize they want to settle down, but are now past their prime and men don't want them as much. Go ahead, have a career, I don't give a fuck. But I recommend you take it easy in your 20s if you want to play your cards right. Men don't mind marrying a hot barrista, but not many quality women are going to marry a male barrista. Nothing sexist about it, just logical.

that the only way to treat women is like shit

What? I don't even know what to say. But I'm pretty sure if I genuinely treated women like shit all the time, they'd all hate me. It's called flirting and manning the fuck up / leading the way. No one is encouraging emotionally abusive relationships.

that you should never get married because that means you had to give something up

Go ahead and get married. I don't give a fuck. There are plenty of married men here. TRP just educates people on the risks of marriage. With such huge divorce rates -- 70% of which are initiated by women, and women objectively getting the upper hand in divorces, we think men should think really long and hard before making such a life impacting commitment.

Now, I'm just being logical here. But I'm sure the user that posted this doesn't give a fuck, because again, women are fucking terrible at trying to look at things logically and objectively.

Wasn't he forced to resign after publishing this? He did a lecture that just infuriated the feminists because they didn't like the object facts.

To everyone too lazy to read through it, his conclusion is the best TL;DR you're going to get on why the genders are so different:

To summarize my main points: A few lucky men are at the top of society and enjoy the culture’s best rewards. Others, less fortunate, have their lives chewed up by it. Culture uses both men and women, but most cultures use them in somewhat different ways. Most cultures see individual men as more expendable than individual women, and this difference is probably based on nature, in whose reproductive competition some men are the big losers and other men are the biggest winners. Hence it uses men for the many risky jobs it has.

Men go to extremes more than women, and this fits in well with culture using them to try out lots of different things, rewarding the winners and crushing the losers.

Culture is not about men against women. By and large, cultural progress emerged from groups of men working with and against other men. While women concentrated on the close relationships that enabled the species to survive, men created the bigger networks of shallow relationships, less necessary for survival but eventually enabling culture to flourish. The gradual creation of wealth, knowledge, and power in the men’s sphere was the source of gender inequality. Men created the big social structures that comprise society, and men still are mainly responsible for this, even though we now see that women can perform perfectly well in these large systems.

What seems to have worked best for cultures is to play off the men against each other, competing for respect and other rewards that end up distributed very unequally. Men have to prove themselves by producing things the society values. They have to prevail over rivals and enemies in cultural competitions, which is probably why they aren’t as lovable as women.

The essence of how culture uses men depends on a basic social insecurity. This insecurity is in fact social, existential, and biological. Built into the male role is the danger of not being good enough to be accepted and respected and even the danger of not being able to do well enough to create offspring.

The basic social insecurity of manhood is stressful for the men, and it is hardly surprising that so many men crack up or do evil or heroic things or die younger than women. But that insecurity is useful and productive for the culture, the system.

Again, I’m not saying it’s right, or fair, or proper. But it has worked. The cultures that have succeeded have used this formula, and that is one reason that they have succeeded instead of their rivals.

Some of the most creative/productive career years of many famous people like George Lucas coincidentally peak at their SMV peak, who made the first Star Wars movie at 33 years old. Arguably his true masterpiece, Empire Strikes Back, came exactly 3 years later, 36 years old (absolute peak SMV). After Star Wars he pretty much dropped out and raised his kids for 22 years before coming back to make a horrible prequel series. That drive to excel is definitely linked to our reproductive window.

[–]puaSenator4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I never thought of that, but there is a lot there. Your drive to succeed must be linked. Typically, your career is made or broken in your 30s. Either you'll end up a millionare or not. I wouldn't doubt there is a connection.

Best I could find is this:

Apparently he was under a lot of fire for explaining why he thinks there aren't a lot of women in philosophy (we know this), and later made a comment about handjobs in a non-sexual way to make some point which made a grad student who was already a thorn in his side go report him for sexual harassment.

I literally just posted in askTRP about this earlier.

I love the science and studies constantly posted around as evidence supporting the claims made here. The ideals and methods I think are fantastic...

But I've been reading for about a month now and the comment threads and some headlines lean towards the "bashing" attitude.

In your opinion do you think most of that is part of somes transition, to go from one extreme to the other until a balance is formed?

[–]puaSenator15 points16 points17 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Ha, funny you say that. I also just talked to another member about what you are just asking whom completely changed my mind on the subject. I was all for toning it down a bit so we get these ideas across in the actual real life moderate fashion, rather than the extremes everyone seems to cling to when they view it from the outside.

That's why the Red Pill was created. And that's also why we endeavour to keep the rhetoric at a certain level of extremity. Because while most of us don't actually walk around calling women bitches to their faces, we'll be damned if we give our detractors even an inch of space.

/r/TheRedPill/comments/1rs7ct/what_are_the_main_differences_between_trp_and/cdqdt13

So to directly answer your question, the bashing is intentional to keep people out. Read between the lines and absorb the content, not the rhetoric. No one is advocating to actually do some of the shit everyone circlejerks around.

I'm glad you're here. However, the hate directed to this sub is more than just not understanding; it's people who don't want to understand. Plenty of people, men and women alike, stand to lose a lot as more people begin to see things the way we do.

Who gives a shit?

I extract what information I want from RP and use it. I don't need to convince others that it works.

And for the record I can totally see where they're coming from. I see a lot of comments that take things too far, unnecessarily calling women cunts. Or posts being only submitted with the intention to make fun of women who have "hit the wall."

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That is the essence of everything in life, extract the useful info and throw away the bullshit. I don't know why this concept if so difficult for people to understand.

[–]vaker3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Some of those posts provide illustration and support to the basic theory regarding male&female SMVs changes. I think it's fine to have them. In fact if they turn away some dumb white knights in disgust, it's all the better.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Women play the game instinctively. Fact that they are selective gender and the fact that even if they're average looking they'll have zero problem with finding a partner - leaves their brains free from need for strategic thinking. That's where feelinzz' take over the void.

They won't be straight about rules they play by because they don't acknowledge them consciously! From here stem rationalizations of hypergamous behavior, cheating on beta with alpha bad-boy, riding carousel etc.

[–]Modredpillschool0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly this. Why develop a strategy when you don't need one? That's why they balk at the idea that we might need one. They've never even considered that getting a mate is difficult for some.

[–]jolly--roger6 points7 points8 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]UnpluggedMaestro5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's because it's against the female imperative. White knights, manginas and females all want men to be subservient slaves in economy and society to them. If you noticed, that's more than 50% of the population. That's what democracy brings you.

I keep seeing women asking things like "how do I cut these kind of men out of my life?" or "how do I make sure the guy I'm sleeping with isn't one of those guys?"

I don't know, maybe get to know the men you're letting inside of you. Maybe demand a relationship every once in a while instead of sleeping around in your 20's and being bitter and single in your 30's.

These kinds of questions are perfect examples of why TRP works. Just the question itself proves it.

[–]1Zackcid26 points27 points28 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The irony of those comments is that most of the time, these girls can't even tell who's TRP. If a man is successfully implementing TRP concepts, he'll be indistinguishable from an attractive alpha male or a charming man with game.

[–]abcd_z10 points11 points12 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

I liked the one by guckalienblue who got pregnant more than once by a TRP'er, then complained about it on Reddit.

[–]the99percent14 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Or the one who actually married one. Piss myself laughing

[–]ruve-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Why does TRP seem to shame women who "sleep around" when they are in their 20s and then continue on their mission to sleep with a bunch of them, and expect those women to always want to be with them because of their "alpha" ways? This seems to be the definition of a double standard to me.

Please don't read this in a snarky tone. I'm genuinely curious, as I've seen that exact comment many times on TRP.

[–]slfnflctd3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Part of TRP theory - there are some statistics that back this up but I don't have time to look them up right now - is the concept that a higher partner count (as with many other things in life) generally tends to affect women differently than men, at least in the earlier stages of life (under 40, say).

As far as I'm concerned, a whore is a whore, male or female, and either sex is going to have a harder time with monogamy if they sleep around a lot. Which is a bummer, because being a whore can be a lot of fun. In any case, my experience (and that of numerous other men I know) suggests that higher partner count men are less likely to leave a woman they're in a quality long term relationship with for someone 'better' or try to screw her over, while women seem to have more of a natural tendency to attempt trading up and burning bridges behind them, especially if they've done it before or seen friends do it (perhaps because they see themselves as more vulnerable). Could be a cultural thing, but it appears to be a trend.

[–][deleted] 21 points22 points23 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

The idea of men having more control in relationships freaks women out.

Weak guys will do anything to to be on any woman's good side so they'll white knight even if it fucks them over.

[–]MSoftHarem83 points84 points85 points 12 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link

Men are generally superior in some aspects of life, while women are superior in some aspects of life as well. It isn't about who is better, it is about recognizing strengths and complementing each other.

[–]peopleofthepine19 points20 points21 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And there it is. Women are not better than men. Men are not better than women. However, we are not equal either. We are an impossible formula that are made to work together. That formula will never work without that balance.

[–]rule_of_law14 points15 points16 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

This is a straw man in their direction. It's way more nuanced. They wouldn't claim "all women are better in all aspects". Instead they emphasize the things women are seen as being better at, and attempt to ignore the things men are seen as being better at.

Things like the fact that men place higher mathematically, especially in the highest quartiles? They'll write pages of how it's the product of patriarchy, instead of just hanging their hat on how women place higher in areas of language. That's where it gets ridiculous.

[–]Beast661 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Exactly, we see many posts about feminism and the "rape culture" have put men at a disadvantage. That's certainly not saying men are superior

[–]vaker-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

Everybody is so nice about this. Fuck it. Somebody needs to say it out loud. While there are occasional counterexamples, in general:

  • science was created by men (talking about actual science, not gender studies and similar nonsense)

  • art (paintings, symphonies, sculptures) was created by men

  • technological civilization was created by men

  • who do you want next to you in a foxhole, a man or a woman?

Now tell me what women are superior in. Raising children. What else?

[–]MSoftHarem7 points8 points9 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

Mostly intangibles, but we wouldn't be 1/4 as advanced as we are now without the support, and competition for the attention of - women. Don't kid yourself.

I like the hate we get. It keeps out anyone who can't stomach a bit of controversy in an ANONYMOUS area. We don't need them. It also puts pressure on us to not get carried away with shit, and forces everyone to explain their views rationally. Finally, it's kind of a "best kept secret" kind of thing.

Think of it like this: the 30 y/o woman who is looking to settle down is probably pretty damn low on my list to marry or get in an LTR with. Should I be rationally explaining this to ANYONE? No. Lie. Say you "haven't found the right person". Give bullshit answers, but don't think you can launch into a long winded diatribe about TRP and get sympathy points. You don't owe anyone an explanation for your actions regarding your sex life, just like women have decided they don't.

One of the common fears from people the see TRP are something like "I'm afraid about how many guys actually think like this". This is a legitimate fear from their point of view, and it tells us a lot. They have no way of knowing if you're "red pill" unless you go out of your way to tell them. This means have no method to stop themselves from rewarding our attitudes and practices if they happen to be naturally effective... or truthful.

My ex uses the kids as a weapon against me. She replaced me as the father figure in their lives with her unemployed boyfriend who sits around drinking beers and smoking weed all day (presumably on my child support).

After years and years - it's a fight I no longer wish to engage in. The harder I fight for the kids - the more she fucks with their heads. Three months ago she eliminated all my communication with the kids. It was a hard decision to make, but I decided to just leave it alone.

The one "unbiased" comment I could find from someone who appeared to genuinely try to understand TRP even fell off the mark, at least for me when he said our actions are guided by anger. Mine are not, and I hope for the rest of you on here or anyone new reading this that you aren't. It's been explained on here so many times and it's still valid. Would you be angry at a dog for jumping up and eating the steak off your plate if you left it there? No! It's their nature! Of course the dog wants the steak! Of course women want to fuck the Alpha! Its in their genetic makeup. This sub is about improving yourself and your ability to interact with women so you become that Alpha, be happy with who you are, women will see that and want to be around you and with you. Everyday I find something I can use to improve myself, and improve my interactions with women. The only thing I'm mad about is not finding this sooner.

I'd hate it if this sub gets more popular at a faster rate, I feel that the more betas people are, the more oblivious women are to their own solipsism, the more the hamsters work; the more it would contrast with people like us who swallowed the pill the hard way or by having enough self-knowledge to drop down the lies facade in our society.

Second, this quote astonished me.

That's a little harsh. My boyfriend subscribes to TRP. But it's so we can make fun of them later..

TRP is filled with guys of the highest honor, nobility, and humbleness. Why? The first reaction to commoners is being disrespectful or insulting back to people who mock. TRP's first reaction would be pity on the boyfriend who's under his girlfriend's whims. Needless to say we already know how this will play out simply by that 1 sentence from his girlfriend. we have knowledge enough to discern what platform the nuts and bolts are from, in a huge flow chart called life.

"A belief you refuse to be open-minded about"

Well, at least they're honest. Sometimes I think the red pill analogy is a little campy, but, wow, these people are trying hard to play into the metaphor.

Had to lol at a couple of the posts. Particularly the gentleman who informed me subscribing to this sub meant I'd never get an "honest and open" relationship with a woman.

Been there, tried that. I was honest. I was open. And then I was single. Turns out babbling on about your feelings doesn't seem to keep women attracted. Who knew?

But then again, it's probably because I didn't get enough counseling or therapy. I just didn't communicate like I needed to.

I'm a monster.

[–]Modredpillschool-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Right? Hey telling you my every feeling isn't working? Better contact a relationship counselor and double down! That'll fix it!

Talk more about that, please...

[–]Flaydogg3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

Ok so everyone had hateful things to say about it. Comments were that trp is basically full of misogyny and pick up artist advice. I got curious, because I had a feeling that it was misunderstood by the way too PC people on here. I have read very few rude things, and a lot of inspiring things so far. I like this sub so far.

[–]cauchies-1 points0 points1 point 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

Good. And do you think the overall idea of the red pill makes sense?

[–]Flaydogg0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Yes, I do. (Sorry for the late reply). The overall idea is ok, some things here and there can get a bit selfish and downright rude. I'm not letting those few things get in the way of the bigger picture.

[–]cauchies0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I do agree. Some is just bad, but for the most part it is a bunch o people just trying to make others accept there nature e from there to make better decisions.

[–]ajswdf9 points10 points11 points 12 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link

There was one comment there that was 100% correct, the one by /u/PineConeKing. It's too long to post here, but he essentially says that the ideas behind TRP are correct, but:

And in the end, with Red Pillers being guided by their anger, they become so focused on things like sex, control, and making out women to be the "enemy," they miss the ability to really connect and bond with another in a truly open and honest relationship. (I should add, many in TRP will discuss similar described issues with women in marriage, so in their minds, there is no escaping the problem).

Or as his tl;dr says:

The red pill consists of many men who have been hurt in the past by women. Their efforts to prevent future problems can often reveal some unfortunate truths about much of our society, but their solutions are driven by anger, and this can manifest in very extreme ways. (i.e. You can never trust a woman). This approach also prevents many of them from truly connecting and being honest with women. (Although it is a bit more complex than that still).

This is exactly what I've found. Often on here I've seen people say stuff like "Women are so emotional/always cheat/etc." when in reality Men are also emotional and cheat and all of that.

Everybody else just insults it without really making any specific arguments.

A+ post. Thank you for verbalizing something I struggle to formulate into words. The closest relationship I've had by far was with a girl that was a virgin when we met and it's not a coincidence.

[–]TRP VanguardYouDislikeMyOpinion0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Thank you for replying.

My reply is meant as a general reply.

It's interesting to understand how much damage "assholes" are doing by taking actions without remorse for the girl, and actually allowing her to learn the realities of this world in comparison to the damage "nice guys" are doing by "leaving her better off than they found her".

So the asshole gets in there, fucks her, dumps her, or has a short term relationship, then dumps her. This "asshole's" actions are consistent. I'm going to use a narrow example: Guy sees hot girl, knows how to get her, goes for her, fucks her, stays for a bit, moves on with his life and loses contact with her. Doesn't try to make her life better. Allows her to see the reality of his actions/motives/etc. without any filter.

What about the nice guy? What does he do? What the fuck does "leaving her better than you found her" even mean? In that same scenario above, does it mean that he sticks around for a bit longer so the impact on her isn't that hard at first? I mean, I'm sure there are ways to lessen the blow. For a specific girl, it might be beneficial for her long term stability to drop some RP knowledge on her so she better understands what happens.

Nevermind the fact that trying to "leave her better than you found her" can actually backfire and leave her worse off than you found her in the long term. Being a player and then faking caring about her to try and somehow leave her better, can potentially confuse the fuck out of her for a very long time.

Whether they are leaving you or spreading their legs for other men no woman has ever sat down and tried to figure out how to make your life better once they were gone. They'll use their innate solipsism to rationalize not telling you things they've done that would hurt you, like fucking your bestfriend or family members. To leave you better of course.

That's how trying to "leave someone better than you found them" may look.

But leaving her better off than you found her? I can potentially see that in some situations. Girl is a virgin. Girl makes many mistakes with you in a 1.5 month relationship. You dump her. She meets another guy and doesn't make those same mistakes. Marries him or w/e. What about the negatives about this? Potential negative mental thought processes? What about the chemical pair bonding that happened? It's a delicate process.

I'm pretty sure if I really tried, I could leave a girl better than I found her. But this would mean that I would have to provide an entire personalized relationship experience without much regard to myself. It would fail unless I would dedicate myself to it. Also, it's not easy to understand what this entails. I'm talking about constantly making pattern predictions, balancing beta/alpha to stimulate her growth, taking specific sets of long term actions to stimulate the growth of valuable ideas and thought processes in her psyche.

I can make this girl smart. The problem is that in reality this doesn't happen. She won't get someone that does that for her, and even if she did, she's not gonna get that from anyone else. It's similar to the entitlement complexes that girls develop that they have to come to terms with when they are forced to realize what it was. She may develop something mentally where she subconsciously and consciously expects this from other guys which will guarantee her failure much faster than if she was just dumped. Then when she's 35/40 and she sees that she failed, she'll come to some sort of terms with it like most women come to terms with their entitlement complexes. This may damage her much more than any dumping.

So many trade offs. These are just random examples. In reality, there are an endless amount.

So would I really have left her better if I tried? That's up for debate.

Maintaining a frame that promotes your own masculine interests and protects the resources you've earned is abusing power that instead women would like to be able to abuse.

I think that we are all under qualified to really assess the damage/benefit that we have done to a girl. There are positives and negatives to every situation. Furthermore, after the point where the party was affected, there are outside factors that shape their life while taking into account how they've changed as a major contributing factor. In other words, a girl that you dumped could live a life where she learns from it because of external factors pushing her into that direction, or she could have a life where some other negative things happen and push her to developing an extremely mentally unhealthy life. Once we drop our bomb in the form of "leaving her better than we found her" or leave her for whatever other reason, it's out of our hands. The only way that we can truly predict the impacts of our actions with good accuracy is simply having an indescribable amount of psychological and life knowledge, and cause and effect relationships associated with all of this psychological and life knowledge. It's simply too much. The best way to leave her better off than you found her is to not have a relationship at all, or is it? Now she gains nothing from us in addition to not losing anything. Which begs the philosophical question of whether it really matters what we do.

Would this mean that the best thing for everyone to do would be to watch out for their own life? Well, for a world where it has been routinely proven that people are completely intellectually incapable, it might be asking too much of them.

What's not up for debate is pair bonding. Biology is science. We have conducted studies on it: http://ccutrona.public.iastate.edu/psych592a/articles/Sexual%20infidelity%20in%20women.pdf

You are a goldmine of RP, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading your posts.

And no, it wasn't even close to being 100% correct, not by a long shot. If he posts it to /r/purplepilldebate, I'll go there to show why it's wrong.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

There is no "anger". Initially in my first few days there was. Red pillers use their past mistakes to frame their future to avoid making the same mistake again. We learn from our past and use it to build a future WE like. The anger that user talk about is not anger but experience.

[–]randarrow[S] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Anger is one of the stages of grief.

[–]TRP VanguardCyralea0 points1 point2 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Often on here I've seen people say stuff like "Women are so emotional/always cheat/etc." when in reality Men are also emotional and cheat and all of that.

It's the relative difference that matters. Women are genuinely more emotional than men, even if emotional men exist. This is a pretty non-controversial opinion.

There are always exceptions. Doesn't mean you don't note useful trends.

[–]randomkloud3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

.Basically their whole philosophy is that men and women are different species, with men being the superior.

you know, I've been with this sub for quite some time now and not once, NOT ONCE, have I seen anyone else seriously saying this.

edit: it's telling that most of their counter arguments against us are ad hominems.

[–][deleted] 4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Notice how many posts start out as "Wow, I just looked at this sub, and-" And then they suddenly go in debth about beta bucks/alpha fucks, monkey branching, shit testing, and other terms which you'd need a fair bit of lurking to understand.

[–]dre_day42 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I could go without some of the dumb things we discuss, we probably look like assholes to outsiders.

Red Pill and game theory has helped me break out of my introverted shell. I can properly escalate with a girl I like, not afraid of showing that I like her. I have become less fearful of rejection in life and have a new understanding of how social dynamics work.

[–][deleted] -2 points-1 points0 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Lol @ phrasing PUA ideas as game theory. I guess I know two kinds then! But seriously just call it game.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Why do they ALWAYS automaticlly think we look DOWN on women. That we want to make them into some sort of sub class of humanity. WTF...... do people even know how to read?

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Daily reminder TRP will eventually be booted off reddit.

**Every time I post this someone says "reddit has free speech tho!" or "we're following the rules!"

It doesn't matter. Look at OP thread: these people can't even read the sidebar without whipping themselves into a frothy rage and spewing non-truths about what this sub is about. Now remember that the reddit top mods are just like this but even more extreme.

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

People will always refuse to be open-minded about things they are religious about. I believe that society essentially constructs a religion about how to treat women, work your life away to provide for others, and constantly seek validation. TRP is an anti-religion, and a very brutal one at that.

So of course it's the one thing people cannot and will not even entertain as a possibility. It's like how fundamentalist Christians or any religion will simply not consider the arguments of athiesm. They just won't.

It's like trying to explain to someone in SJW or cultural marxism that both capitalism and globalism both have a lot of very beneficial elements. It just isn't going to work because they are religious about their beliefs.

Which is FINE. I used to read a lot of investment / stock books, and one of the fundamental points in one of them (can't remember which) was "let others employ bad investment strategies to their heart's content." Let others be zealots and fanatics who religiously pour money into ventures that currently are in society's spotlight. This is healthy and natural. If you want to rationalize yourself out of pussy and try your best to eek out a best-case scenario existence of someone like Phil on Modern Family, GOOD FOR YOU, BUDDY! Go get those post-wall women while you are 23, wife em up, and work your ass off for them, while patting yourself on the back for being a good provider. Your suboptimal mating strategy makes mine all the more potent.

this thread was great.

Even the logical arguments made for certain things have a sinister undertone to them.

One of these days I'm going to go into one of those angsty anti-TRP posts and ask the white knights how much they enjoy paying for everything with women, while receiving little reciprocation for their endeavors.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points10 points 12 years ago* (3 children) | Copy Link

Their response:

I'm just a genuinely nice person. I dont expect anything to come from paying for a nice strangers drinks. Although if given the chance to make it more than just a few drinks, I would respectfully accept. I'd take m'lady on several dates until the relationship becomes more serious. It would not be until our third date where I'd expect any form of affection such as a kiss.

[–]randomkloud4 points5 points6 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

that caused me physical pain.

And there we have it. Because not having sex for a year+ is easier that accepting the cold hard truth.

tl;dr, here is their anti-redpill logic:

TRP = politically incorrect ideas about women = misogyny

[–]Opioidus1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Isn't it funny that in an attempt to bash red pill one of the white knight faggots hopes that one of the whores succeeds in preventing a father to influence his children because he disagrees with him? I mean not funny ha ha, but funny ironic.

PS. Mmm, delicious, send those people who have no idea what red pill here, in a pathetic attempt to justify your denial to accept the truth and looking for validation.. yes, send 'em to us, that's how we find new members.

[–]SystemHalifax1 point2 points3 points 12 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

You know how there is that 1 person that asks what TRP is about, but then someone with anti-TRP views is the one explaining what's going on, and what's more they put in their personal views (which is obviously not a good way to explain things)?

Well, maybe we could PM the person what doesn't necessarily understand what TRP is and explain to them what it is (without personal views because then we would seem needy)- or is it a lost cause?

[–]randarrow[S] 5 points6 points7 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

TRP doesn't really have outreach guidelines. Kind of defeats the purpose of MGTOW. Do what you think is right. Just know there are a lot of hard heads and trolls in that thread mixed in with the genuinely confused people.

Every man/woman we save or fight/heartbreak we prevent is worthwhile.

[–]1Zackcid3 points4 points5 points 12 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It isn't necessarily a bad thing. The more these TBP users over-hype our sub and use outlandish words to describe it, the more it'll peak the interest and curiosity of neutral users.

"OMG I totally gotta see what this infamous sub is all about! I'm sure I'll see nothing but misogyny and I'll laugh at those sexist losers!

Oh wait... this isn't at all what the bluepiller told me TRP was about. This stuff's actually decent and I can relate to many of those ideas. I think I'll lurk around a little longer until I find actual misogyny... Hypergamy? Alpha fucks/Beta Bucks? Me and my buddies have personally experienced that shit! Maybe I can find a way to not fall for it next time Hmm.."

The problem is, you don't know if the person is ready to hear what you have to say. He could listen and learn, or you could end up in a pointless argument where he argues with what he thought you said, or he could post your PM publicly on the grounds that he thinks you're being a dick.
