I found RP a day after I broke up with my last GF, and it all made sense. I was mostly BP during the relationship. I learned a long time ago that in the professional world you should never go backwards. If you are considering quitting a job, find a new one before you leave. If they counteroffer the new job offer, no matter what never accept a counter offer. It creates a bad scenario; 1) it almost never ever addresses the work conditions that made you unhappy in the first place. You wil still be unhappy, even perhaps if you have a few more dollars/vacation days etc, you will still be unhappy. Your "loyalty" to the company will never be trusted. I sort of laugh at the notion of loyalty in this day of professionalism, but there is a dynamic. When layoffs occur, the guy who threatened to jump ship will be scutinized. When promotions occur, the same. It is always better to make a decision and stick with it.. in the professional world.

I have discovered (unfortunately very late in the game) that nearly all of the traits that made me professionally successful are very applicable to women. I have quite a history in the last two years since the divorce, and have fucked most of my ex's along the way. Perhaps it should be pointed out that I did all of the breaking up in these relationships, and the women wanted me back either immediately or within weeks. I have fucked all of them after the breakup and I can say with 100% certainty it was not worth the drama. I am human, so I cannot say I wont make the same mistake again, but I can say it is almost universally a bad idea to fuck a women who has told you she loves you in the past that you are not seeing again. If you must do it, avoid seeing her any more frequently than every 2-3 weeks. Never "date" her, do not take her places, especially around social circles that you share or shared.

It's your life, do what you want. Just be aware of the risks in banging an ex that wants to get back together. Common dangers include

Poking holes in condoms to try to get pregnant
Threatening to accuse you of rape/domestic violence if you don't get back together
Invading your social circle & family by contacting them and posing as your girlfriend
Contacting your plates and telling them that she is your girlfriend
Actively cock-blocking you in public if you are with another girl, often by causing a huge scene

The same risks are associated with plates, but without getting into theory, these risks are exponentially higher with an ex than with a plate.

The reason I personally try to avoid hooking up with former LTRs is because there is generally some feelings for each other which linger in the background. If you both are comfortable with a NSA hookup, there should be no repercussions. If she still cares for you however, which is sounds like she does, you're obviously leading her on and misrepresenting your intentions. I think a lot of people will try to convince you that hooking up with your ex is a cardinal sin of RP theory but it isn't/shouldn't be.

The only reason why it could become an issue (emotions of her/you aside) is if you come to rely on her. Meaning, its saturday night and you are out having some drinks, looking for women and 12am rolls around and you have struck out all night so you figure "fuck it", call your ex because you want to get laid. It just prevents you from trying your hardest because you know you have that option.

As long as you don't become complacent, it is a non-issue and she should be treated like any other plate.

So ask yourself this: is it Tuesday night at 8:30 and she wants to come over for an hour? Do it. What else are you doing. Is is Friday night and she wants to get a drink at the bar? Fuck no.

I've done it, and I've not done it - depends on the situation but in retrospect, a post-breakup bang is the result of blue-pill "feelings" making women do anything they have to to save or re-establish "the relationship" which at that point is mostly in the self-validating parts of their heads, while I was mostly just horny.
