Perhaps Ive been doing this shit wrong for years. I got into this as a freshman. Im a senior now. What line did you use as your opener and how did you transition? Ive been going direct for years and it's been making them uneasy. - "I wanted to talk to you because you are pretty. Hi" or going super indirect -> random girl in street "Hey are you from Korea?" Welcome, fellow engineer. As someone finishing up his masters degree in Mechatronics, I can assure you the following.
There are no 10s in engineering. Period. I don't care which uni, or campus, or college, or planet you attend. There. Are. No. 10s. In. Engineering.
What there is, however, is a distorted reality of girls being hotter than they are because they are in "short supply". A girl you find mildly attractive while at a bar is an automatic 10 in engineering school.
To everyone else who isn't in engineering, something similar happens with women in gyms.

well they aren't any less popular than normal girls, it is a fact. just because the 10's say they are lonely doesn't mean other girls get more attention. these 10's will just be aware they are extremely good looking and want more attention and validation, and when they don't get it they feel lonely. normal girls don't expect to get talked to constantly and thus they don't feel as lonely.

10's are lonely so you have a lot of room to work with this is why you see relatively ugly guys with babes on their arm, you can say anything virtually just be confident and funny and you'll be fine
normal girls expect more because they can have conversations alot easier and so u have to know your conversational routine and the correct research on the girl before talking to her, normal girls also have interests and so u have to take that into account, 10's don't need interests generally

i consider myself a high 8-low 9 the 10's i see are 10's no question, and trust me, just talk to them confidently and they willl be amazed most of the time they get betas who fumble or creeps, and there is a major difference between a girl who is a 10 and one who is like an 8, an 8 isn't sure she's hot and so you have that to consider and work with

I see what you are saying and it makes sense. The problem now is finding the true 10's. I pretty much never see 10's. I guess I just don't label girls 10 unless they are literally Victoria's secret model quality.
I think because you consider yourself very good looking that you see all these guys as ugly who are with 10s, when really they aren't that ugly.
