I did my first cold approach the other day. I was waiting for the train and this really cute girl was standing beside me. The train was delayed and after the announcment came over the loudspeaker we both looked at each other and shook our heads (it was peak hour after work on a friday afternoon). I took this mutual disgust in the transit system as a sign to strike up a converstaion. We chatted about life, travelm passions and pretty much everything else the entire train ride home. I was about to ask for her number and then she tells me she is 18 and just finished highschool last year! Me being 36 and twice her age I decided against going for the number and just left this as a friendly chat on a long train ride home. ( She was wearing a mask, as they are still mandatory on public tranport where i live). Otherwise I prob would have been able to tell that she was young.... Even though it didnt go anywhere I felt amazing afterwards for the rest of the night. Like I was floating on a cloud !
