Any form of smoking is a huge turn off for most. Not saying it's a deal breaker but 100% don't advertise it or do any smoking in front of a date. Leave that shit for a month into the relationship, when you both have already gotten passed the initial "get to know" phase

ALL smoking (tobacco, marijuana, meth, etc.) is a severe turnoff. It's a huge problem for kissing, it makes clothing and vehicles and homes stink, it toxifies youd body for momentary enjoyment. Also, in your case, let's be honest- why would I spend time around someone giving both of us potential cancer? What does that say about the person? This isn't 1890, it isn't exactly sophisticated.

If it's that big a deal to you, realize you probably are limited to fellow smokers (and even some of them will also be turned off).

Its like marketing, depends on the type of person you're targeting (age, location, culture). pipe-smoking probably doesn't appeal to the vast majority. Someone who is health conscious seems to resonate more with people and the general culture today.
